I have to use a hair dryer almost every day, even if I don't wash it. This is my all time favorite hair dryer! It is light weight and SOOO much more quiet than any I've owned before. Also, the medium heat setting works just fine. With other hair dryers, I've had to use the hottest setting which really damages your hair. I can use the hottest setting with this one and it acts like a straightener. Highly recommend! Read more

Satisfied with this purchase. I like how quiet it is. That was why I bought it. I also find it lightweight. I did initially think the diffuser wouldn’t fit - after trying multiple times - but then almost “accidentally” got it on in the process of setting up to take a picture to include with this review, which was initially going to show the impossibility of attaching the diffuser and be a 2-star rating because of that problem. I’d still say that attaching the diffuser is not at all user friendly and straightforward (I found it very frustrating), but I somehow eventually did. Tip: try getting it connected on one side, at an angle to the barrel, and then work on connecting the rest - instead of trying to connect it by lining it up with the barrel and pushing it straight on. I love this hairdryer. I have been searching for a replacement for my old Revlon Ionic Quiet dryer. Revlon apparently no longer makes them. This Ionic Whisper Quiet is just what it says: almost whisper quiet, but efficient. I just received it, and so far, it works wonderfully, and is so quiet that there's no risk of hearing damage. I enjoy all the settings of high and low, hot, medium and cool. I like the extra large diffuser for my curly hair. Not many hair dyers come with diffusers anymore. It dries my hair in a fraction of the time. It could be lighter in weight and it is relatively quiet. Read more
Comparatively quiet. Excellent drying power and it minimizes the static for my very fine-textured hair. Having the On/Off power switch in the center of the controls takes some getting used to, I kept expecting it to be the switch closest to the cord. Read more
Trust the reviews that say this doesn't last long! Unfortunately, this is a great dryer **when it is working** but it died SO fast. I only used it four times before it completely blew. I noticed it would get really hot to the touch so I used it on the lowest heat setting and it still got hot & died. I wish it continued working because it is pretty quiet and light which I enjoyed a lot. Do not recommend, a total waste of money. Read more
