Also, the medium heat setting works just fine. With other hair dryers, I've had to use the hottest setting which really damages your hair. Satisfied with this purchase. I like how quiet it is. That was why I bought it. I also find it lightweight. I did initially think the diffuser wouldn’t fit - after trying multiple times - but then almost “accidentally” got it on in the process of setting up to take a picture to include with this review, which was initially going to show the impossibility of attaching the diffuser and be a 2-star rating because of that problem. I’d still say that attaching the diffuser is not at all user friendly and straightforward (I found it very frustrating), but I somehow eventually did. Tip: try getting it connected on one side, at an angle to the barrel, and then work on connecting the rest - instead of trying to connect it by lining it up with the barrel and pushing it straight on. Trust the reviews that say this doesn't last long! Unfortunately, this is a great dryer **when it is working** but it died SO fast. I only used it four times before it completely blew. I noticed it would get really hot to the touch so I used it on the lowest heat setting and it still got hot & died.
