But the secret is that almost all of these are the same inside and are made in a handful of factories. With a few notable exceptions, the features are the same, the controls are the same, etc. So mostly, it comes down to a few, limited, differentiating factors: ** Does the IPL offer "ICE" active cooling ** Does the IPL offer additional filters/modes for different effects ** Does the IPL offer unusual and useful ergonomic features ** What kind of power does the IPL use (higher power should translate into better performance). What I like: - It's easy to use. - The shape of it is comfortable in my hand. - It seems powerful. Observations from my experience with it: - The cord is actually a power cord and not a charging cable. It must be plugged in to use it. - The sound it makes and the bright light it flashes take a little getting used to. It startled me the first time. - The provided protective glasses do not go well over my prescription eyeglasses. But I can put them underneath my prescription eyeglasses for better coverage of my vision. I'm a little concerned that the provided glasses might not be protective enough. Even when pressed against skin the light that it emits is quite bright. Overall, it seems like it has been assembled well and is high quality.
