Sharpest clippers I have ever used. Read more
I finally got a chance to try these clippers out today and wow, I'm impressed. I've tried out a lot of nail clippers over the years and these must be the best quality and well made nail clippers I've ever owned. These clippers made a very clean, accurate and precise cut in my thick nails, while using very little effort in the process, making these very easy to use. These really work well. The thing I always look at first to judge the quality of nail clippers is how well do the jaws match up, and how well are they sharpened. You would be surprised at how many high dollar nail clippers I've inspected that had jaws that didn't match up perfectly, when viewed under magnification. I'm pleased to report that these clippers passed both test with flying colors. Even though I love the clippers, I found the built in nail file to just be OK, but I think that's because I've gotten spoiled to using a high quality glass nail file. Once you get used to using one of those, it's hard to go back to using anything else. While I like the carry case that come with these, I do wish they had made it from real leather rather than cheaper quality PU leather. Using the provided case, this makes these great travel clippers because you don't need to worry about them cutting into your purse, pocket or luggage while being transported. These are the first clippers that I've owned that I believe could actually last a person for a lifetime. This is Japanese made craftsmanship at its best. I know that it's a hard pill to swallow to pay about $25 for a pair of nail clippers, but if you can afford it, you won't be disappointed, because these are a great value for the money. Read more

I have extremely difficult to cut nails. I've tried other expensive nail clippers before, and had relegated myself to just getting cheap ones because the expensive ones still couldn't cut easily through my nails. My nails don't break easily, are thick, and very strong. Clipping them has always required a lot of force. Not with these. These are so sharp, I can take it slow and easy and these will basically slice through as I lower the lever. I've never seen anything like it. Especially on my toenails, whose thickness could be measured in millimeters. I usually have to soak my nails in hot water for at least 10 minutes to be able to comfortably cut my nails, but I tried these on dry nails and it was such an easy and beautiful job. I have bad arthritis, and the design of these makes them easy for me to hold, unlike other clippers. The opening is wide enough to handle my thickest, toughest nail, but not so wide that they become unwieldy. The case is nice to have. I was thinking when I ordered these, "What would I need a case for? It's not like I'm going to attach them to my belt when I go out places." After using them, I realized, the case is to protect the blades. You throw in something this sharp into a bin of other stuff, and the edges can become damaged. You've got to keep them protected. I have a special drawer I keep these in, and they stay in the case. No one else in the family is allowed to use them. I want to keep them sharp for as long as possible, because I'm the only one with the hardened nails. Read more
I never thought I would be writing a review for a nail clipper but here we are. I was so tired of those cheap ones from the grocery store that just bend your nails instead of actually cutting them, so I decided to try this japanese stainless steel one. Honestly the difference is crazy... it’s super sharp and makes a really clean "click" without leaving those jagged edges i usually have to file down for 5 minutes. It feels heavy and expensive in your hand too, not like that flimsy metal stuff. Feels perfect in my hand. Not too big not too small. But seriously if your nails are thick like mine just get these, they actually work and dont feel like they're gonna snap. Worth the extra few bucks for sure. Read more
When I ordered these I figured they would be sharper than my old set, but I was not expecting them to feel like no other nail clippers I have ever used. The blade is extremely sharp and the action when clipping is incredibly smooth. They have a nice weight to them and feel like very high quality. The leather case is also a nice addition, making them easy to throw in a bag when traveling. Read more
If nail clippers were automobiles then this one would be a high performance sports car. Made in Japan of double-hardened stainless steel it feels substantial in the hand. From a feature standpoint it has no frills, just good design and high quality construction. The clipper comes in a genuine leather storage case with a snap closure. When I used it for the first time I was impressed by how little force was required to cut. This would be an ideal choice for cutting very thick nails. The radius of the cutting edges is on the large side compared to cheap ones but that makes sense since these clippers are a bit larger. There is an abrasive nail file surface built in to the lever part. This is an expensive nail clipper but you get what you pay for. I own a bunch of cheaper clippers but I would trade them all in for this one. I really like this thing, it ranks in the top three items I have bought this past year. Highly recommended. Read more
