Jolly Pets Tug-n-Toss Heavy Duty Dog Toy Ball with Handle 4 5 Inches Small Red

I have a very active 60 pound "mutt" with high energy. He loves this ball! It probably isn't 100% chew proof, nothing is with a heavy chewer, but my dog is more interested in racing around the yard with it than chewing on it. He loves to fetch it, play "chase" with it, push it around in his kiddy pool, and even throw it to himself. He only plays with it under my supervision (which really should be the case with all dogs and their toys) so I think it is going to last a long time. For my dog it has to be an outdoor toy only and is stored outdoors when the dog comes inside, otherwise I could see him throwing it around the house and possibly breaking things. He really flings it sometimes! And it is quite heavy and more on the solid side, not squishy. If it were to hit a precious knick-knack, or a lamp, those things would smash to the floor! The "handle" makes it super easy for the dog to pick it up. It didn't take long for him to figure out that was the way to carry it. He tried biting it at first, but now he just rolls it with his paw until the handle is in a better position for him to grab it, and off he goes. Read more

Ok.. I gave this five stars for durability even though the first thing my dog did was chew off the handle. I bought this to replace my dog's old jolly ball. The old one was a hand-me-down from our previous dog. The old one is over 15 years old lol. The first thing my old dog did on the old one was chew off the handle. It's what a dog will do !!!! The ball part however is like indestructible. It always pops back to shape. This new ball is too big .. I accidentally bought the 6 inch instead of 4.5 So my dog has a harder time fitting it in his mouth. But he loves to kick it and bite at it so he can chase it. But he still really loves that old dirty jolly ball more. I think it is because he can bite on it and in collapses and pops back up. The noise it makes as the air pushes out lol .. or if I squeeze it and blow the air at him lol. My dog is a 75 lb. lab and I think the 4.5 inch ball is a perfect fit. Read more

This ball was not made of an appropriate material which was sturdy enough for basic play. My grand-dog (a mini golden doodle) got this ball when he arrived for Christmas Eve. Within five minutes the handle had been chewed through and fragments of plastic were on the floor. Read more

We have a 11 month old Plott Hound that loves to play ball by himself. We have a 3 year old German Shepherd that loves to have us throw the ball for her. We felt that our Plott Hound was getting left out of the fun because he wasn't into fetch so we got him this Jolly Ball so that he can toss it around on his own like he loves to do with the smaller balls. HE LOVES IT! He gets to throwing that sucker and growls and prances around with it. He did chew the handle within 1 minute but I already knew that was going to happen. We are just keeping it put away if he isn't actively tossing it around or he will chew it to shreds quickly. Bought the Red 6 inch "Jolly Ball Tug & Toss" as an inside toy for my 2 year old German Shephard. We have been trying to teach him to lay down at night when we watch T.V. and chew on a toy or bone. He has ether destroyed the toy quickly or wanted us to play with him instead of being able to entertain himself. This is the first toy that has kept his interest, and that he is playing with by himself. He was so entertained by it that he bypassed his dinner to continue playing with the Jolly Ball. Four months ago I bought him the 8 inch blue "Jolly Ball Tug & Toss" to play with outside. Not only he love it, but he has been unable to destroy it despite all the chewing he does to the ball.
