So far so good. Easy to clean and good quality. Read more
The pot is fully coat-free and perfect for 1~3 serving! And the functions are great: steaming, soup-making, etc. There is no stickiness so far, even for the spatula. However, I have to warn everyone that DO NOT dissemble the inner lid and seal strip!!!! By its structure, it is extremely difficult to assemble them after cleaning, not to mention that there is no instruction for assembling in the manual and the inner lid edge is sharp. Read more
The stainless steel bowl that's made 'non-stick' by a pattern on the surface (NOT by a coating, yippee!), I really like. It's amazing to clean and wonderful to use. If you watch the videos, at least one of them states that the numbers on the inside of the stainless steel bowl are for "rice and water" levels. Not true! Do NOT use the numbers thinking one of them is for rice. All the numbers and lines on the inside of the bowl are for water (based on the number of 'cups' - per the plastic cup included for scooping/measuring - that you're cooking.) If you use the plastic cup included to measure the amount of rice and after cleaning the rice, you use the lines on the inside of the bowl for the water level (w/the rice in the bowl, of course) your rice will turn out perfect every time. I've used this rice cooking almost every day since I got it and it's been fabulous. Read more
I got this since It was the only rice cooker I could find with a no-nonstick bowl. I was worried about the no-name Chinese brand and it turns out, I was right to be. It is a dangerous and cheaply-made, delicate product. The lid came misaligned (the silicone or whatever it is and the plastic ring piece). The stainless lid is so thin and the edges so sharp so when trying to fix it, you may, as I did, get cut. I am on the way to urgent care for a tetanus shot and some stitches or glue. Additionally, the lid ring has lots of dust or shavings on it, and the whole product has an odd chemical odor that I have never experienced before with anything else. I would be worried about plugging it in and curious what plastic/materials were used in the housing and gasket. I have been an Customer since 1999, and this is the worst, most dangerous product I have ever received from this site. Read more
This is the best rice cooker I have ever used, I strongly recommend it to anyone who cooks rice. Read more
I've been looking for a rice cooker with a stainless steel pot for a long time. I just cooked my first batch of rice (jasmine) tonight and not only did the rice turn out perfect, but there was absolutely no sticking and/or burning. (What??!!!!) I should note that it did take a little bit longer to cook than my last rice cooker (~10 min) and I used my own proportions for rice/water that I fine tuned using my last cooker. (For Jasmine rice I use 14oz rice (rinsed 3-4 times) to 18oz water and then let it rest an additional 10min after the cook cycle is done.) The bowl is super heavy and high quality 304SS - which I suspect has something to do with the lack of burning. The inside lid component is also 304SS. It seems well insulated and was easy to operate. My biggest complaints: 1) The color - I hate the cream color and there are currently no other options. Bah! 2) Lack of a handle or grips to easily carry it, which makes it more difficult for where I need to store it. Given that my gripes are fairly small, I don't believe they warrant a full star deduction - hence my 5 star rating. I have another product from this brand (soy milk maker) that has held up well over the years, so I expect to get decent longevity out of this product . Straight out of the box, in super impressed. I'm Asian and I cook lots of rice. I've always owned Zojirushi IH rice cookers for the last 20 years. This time around, since I couldn't find a model with none nonstick coating inner bowl, I started looking at other brands & models. I was skeptical about Joydeem as it is not as well known brand (at least in my knowledge). I'd say that so far I'm impressed with its performance and the quality of the inner bowl! It is nonstick as it claims & it's high quality, thick stainless steel! Read more
