I did a lot of homework about this purchase, and I am very pleased with this product! I learned about it from Anthony Gugliotta’s YouTube channel. I’m launching a fly fishing guide business, and I’m beginning to capture video experiences with friends and possibly clients. I needed a professional grade tripod that is lightweight, easy to pack, sturdy, and highly adjustable. Quality is very good out of the box - we’ll see how it holds up to hard use. Read more

Great little tripod. Easy to carry around, and very lightweight. Setup hardly takes any time at all. 10/10 Read more

The media could not be loaded. Good tripod for the money. I’ve bought 2 of these and they work well, lightweight and strong. But one thing drives me crazy. The ball head swivel moves when everything is tight and there’s no way to fix it. Moves slightly side to side and slightly up and down especially with a bigger lens. Wish I could just get rid of the swivel and only use the ball. Read more

Very satisfied with the functionality of this tripod. It has held up well to a few outdoor activities. With the addition of other K&F accessories for iPhone attachment, it allows me to multi-purpose. A real benefit. Read more

I've been using the Manfrotto 055Pro for over 20 years. It's solid and reliable, though its weight is definitely a downside. While looking for something lighter but still dependable, I came across K&F and heard great things about their price-to-performance ratio. I decided to try their carbon fiber tripod. I often shoot with a Nikon Z7II paired with the 180-600mm lens, and after several outdoor sessions, I can confidently say this tripod supports my gear without any issues. I've come to really trust this K&F carbon tripod. After purchasing, I encountered a minor issue and contacted customer service. To my surprise, they resolved it incredibly quickly. I'm very satisfied with both the product and the service. If someone is looking for a tripod that offers great value for the price, I would strongly recommend this one. Read more

This is a nice and compact tripod; however, I decided to return it and instead purchase the K&F X284C4+BH-36 version. The X284C4+BH-36 is only slightly more expensive than this model, but is better in some important areas. Legs: This tripod has five (5) leg sections, which makes it compact. The downside of this is that each section gets more and more narrow, which adversely affects the stability of the tripod. In my testing, this tripod is about as stable as my $60 aluminum tripod which has four (4) leg sections and is about the same weight. The X284C4+BH-36 has larger diameter legs and just four (4) sections and is notably more stable. This version is noticeably wider, but is about the same height when folded up. Head: This ball head is decently strong, but the one I received could be tightened to where the plastic collar was touching. This meant that the head was still a little loose, but could not be tightened any more. This is a major flaw in my opinion. The X284C4+BH-36 does not have this issue. In summary, this tripod will be good for casual photographers, but not more demanding mid-tier users. I personally think this falls a bit short to justify the cost compared to an aluminum tripod of less than half the cost. I would avoid this tripod in this price tier and look at alternativese, such as the X284C4+BH-36. Neither of these tripods is top-tier, but they sit nicely between the cheap and pro models. Hope this helps you! Cheers! Read more

Love the tripod, but the BH-36L has an issue. It has play even when fully tightened. I contacted support to see if I have a bad unit or if this is a known problem. They asked for a video, and I sent that to show them the problem. After two weeks and a reminder email to them, I have not received any feedback or resolution. I bought a different ball head for the nice tripod. Their support doesn't seem to be on top of things. Read more
