The prefect mid range tripod

ReynoldsNovember 10, 2025

I was looking for something mid range that would work well with my cameras. Overall the fluid head heavy duty, overhead camera tripod, and the detachable monopod is a plus and those features grabbed my attention. For the price range and all that it offers was worth the risk to make the purchase. After receiving it... I immediately tested it out and I am very very pleased with my purchase. I also purchased a sand bag that came with the sand inside and it works perfectly with this tripod for extra stability when needed. It meets my needs for now until I step up to a more expensive high-end video tripod. It's a heavy duty tripod slightly heavy which makes it feel durable and not cheap. You won't find anything similar on the market for this price. If you need a decent video tripod then this is the one for you! See the image using my Ace Pro 2 on the tripod. It gives me many more options when using my action camera to film. Read more

Outstanding Tripod!!

J.K. FitzgeraldAugust 24, 2025

I have had this for almost 3 years now, and have taken it on many trips, to Maui, Canada and all over the U.S. west coast. I use frequently for time-lapse videos of lightning storms and it has been soaked with heavy rain countless times. I was skeptical at first because of its light weight and long legs, I needed something solid, happy to say it has performed better than my expectations. It breaks down quickly and fits in my carry-on luggage (I hate checking bags). It is quite versatile and even has a mono-pod ( one of the legs quickly detaches). It is well built, and solid even in its highest setting (73 inches from floor to the camera base). it weighs just 4.12lbs / and can handle a camera load of upto 22 lbs. It can be folded to 16.93’’ Built in level, swivel ball head, quick release plate. After almost 3 years of use, abuse and travel, it still looks and works like new! It IS the best tripod I have ever owned, I would buy it again but I doubt I will ever need to!!! It is an excellent value at a very reasonable price! I have since purchased many other K&F Concept products and I have yet to be disappointed! Read more

Very nice!

ColtonJuly 31, 2025

I will start by saying I am not much of a photographer but I can recognize a very well built product. There is absolutely no wobble or slop on any of the joints or hinges and everything on it feels very sturdy. I have only just taken it out of the box but the amount of precise adjustment is awesome! I really like the mechanism for the swing arm and how it folds up so small, when I first took it out of the box I thought I was missing a part or something but you just have to unscrew the knob right above the hinge and slide it up. All of the joints lock very well but are still very quick and easy to unlock and adjust. It is by far the most expensive tripod I have ever owned but that isn't saying much since most the tripods I have ever owned are like $15, so I would definitely say this one is worth the money (especially considering some tripods I have seen are several hundred dollars. Like I said, I am not a professional photographer by any means I can see the functionality already. All of the adjustment knobs are buttery smooth and they are complete with degree marks for precise tweaks for a shot. One other thing to note is that the telescoping rod / swing arm thing does come with a kind of oil / lubricant on it so that it slides better so it may be worth wiping it down before use so you don't get it all over your camera after messing with it. Overall, I am super happy with the purchase! Would recommend! Read more

It's a solid tripod

RomidarMarch 1, 2021

I figured I was taking a chance with the K&F model, thinking it might be poorly made. But there's plenty to like about it. (I gave four stars rather than five due to uncertainty about how well some of the clamps will hold up. More on that below.) >> Legs Right out of the box they were very stiff. If anything they're too stiff, which makes it a bit of a chore to unfold them. But they'll loosen up over time and it's a lot better having them be too stiff out of the box than too loose. When the tripod is set up, it feels quite solid. One advantage to the stiffness: When the tripod is fully collapsed "transverse" style, you can pick it up by one leg and the leg doesn't immediately begin opening out. So you don't have to pick it up by holding two legs (or use a strap to tie the legs together). >> Ballhead Surprisingly good. It seems somewhat better-made than a ballhead supplied with another tripod of mine (a better-known brand). The ballhead's controls feel well machined, and the knobs are large enough to be comfortable to turn. I'd have preferred their being rubberized, but you can't have everything. >> Arca-Swiss-compatible clamp No problems. The supplied camera plate has a sensible design for the attachment screw, so you aren't out of luck if you need to attach it but don't have a flat-head screwdriver or coin. The clamp perfectly fits the Arca-Swiss base plate of my camera's hand grip. >> Release levers for changing leg angles I've seen comments about such tripods noting that the release levers are somewhat flimsy and might break. It's possible, but I wonder if the problem is that people hold the legs under too much tension when they're trying to change the angles. Instead, push the legs inward slightly before using the levers. >> "Transverse" center column design This works very well. It's the simplest one I've used so far: Bring the inner section of the center column to its max. height, and then it turns easily to horizontal via a ball-and-socket mechanism. Along its length, the inner column has a groove that fits to a tongue in its housing. So it doesn't rotate within the housing. This makes sliding the column back and forth maybe a bit more difficult than it would otherwise be, but it feels nice and solid. >> Flip-lock levers for extending the legs These don't feel nearly as solid as the rest of the hardware. I won't be opening or closing them too quickly or forcefully. It's hard to tell how long they will hold up. >> Carrying bag It's fine. Dual zippers, carrying handle, and shoulder strap are included. Not ThinkTank quality, but it'll do. (I wouldn't have minded if they'd added a small zipper pocket to it. Hardly a deal-breaker.) >> Documentation Completely awful and unintentionally amusing. But you won't likely need it. Leave it in the bag and forget about it. >> Not crazy about << The inner center column does not have a spring-loaded weight hook at the end. The whole arrangement could go off-balance and fall over if the arm is extended too far horizontally and there isn't a tripod leg directly under it. I'll have to think up some workaround. At some point I'll need a counter-weight at the back of that arm. Not a deal-breaker. >> REALLY not crazy about << The larger, outer section of the center column does have a weight hook. To move the entire center column into the upside-down position as shown in one of the product illustrations on this page, you need to remove the weight hook. This is not as easy as it should be. The part you unscrew is a thin plastic disk—hard to grab onto. It should be wider. Maybe it'd be a good idea to keep a short strip of Dycem in the carrying bag to help turn that thing. Annoying, but still not a deal-breaker. >> Overall impression << It's a well made tripod and good for the price. Be gentle with those leg extension clamps. And try not to laugh too hard at the documentation. I'm sure they meant well. :) Read more

Favorite tripod

Mohan1November 26, 2025

Good tripod for product photography, but will work in many scenarios. Multiple tilt angles, and multiple ways to use. It is a sturdy tripod and it is easy to use. The legs extend easily with the paddle releases. Great tripod, k and f did a good job with this one. Read more
