The stand overall seems very sturdy and secure, being made of some sort of hard plastic material. Attaching my iPad 13“ Air was a bit of a chore as the instructions weren’t clear. Settings of 5 worked in the end. There are a lot of adjusting screws to be tightened in affixing the iPad. The brackets that hold the edge of the iPad are shallow, which means you cannot have any protection on the iPad while in this stand, unless it is very thin. The good thing about this is that the appearance is very minimalist. You see mostly the iPad, and very little of the holder. The real problem as I see it is that this holder does not allow for docking of the Apple Pencil on the iPad, and the iPad has to be removed for docking/ charging of the pencil. If the holder could be rotated 180 degrees this wouldn’t be a problem, but this can’t be done. To get around this I bought another K&M tablet holder separately that can be attached to the stand that came with this holder. That way I can dock the pencil to be easily available for use, and for charging. There are cheaper alternatives to this stand, but I am satisfied with how sturdy the K&M products are. Read more

This is a marvelous iPad stand. I’ve broken two previous, cheaper stands at gigs; this one gives me great confidence. Solid as a brick. Does NOT accommodate the full-on OtterBox case, but likely to work with all thinner cases. Read more

Screws and nuts and all manner of tiny hardware lost almost immediately. Extremely easy for all the bits and pieces to fall off even while transporting between a gig and my car. Sometimes I was able to locate the pieces, but sometimes I didn’t even notice them fall off. Setup and tear down takes a lot longer than other folding stands. I really wanted to like this stand, but in the end I could not because a good portion of it disappeared within a couple weeks. Read more

This music stand is so easy to work with, I can have it in landscape or portrait and make those changes while playing at a gig. This is also a very secure and stable stand, and I won’t have to worry about it tipping over. Read more

Purchased for use with a MS Surface Series computer. It will work with a multitude of tablets, be it Apple, Windows, Android or stone, as long as they aren't too thick. As with all K&M products I've purchased, this thing is sturdy. I was hesitant about the durability of the portion that actually holds the electronic device as it's plastic. It's actually stronger than I expected. Still, I do try and take care of this kind of thing when traveling, so it's not been abused. It's been in daily use, both for practice and performances at home and on the stage. Sure, it is expensive. But dang is it worth it! Read more

After a year and a half the locking nut fell off and the whole thing fell apart. I can’t figure how to put it back together again. Usually their products are excellent but this one has design flaws you need to be aware of. Read more
