I was looking for a simple to use vacuum and this fit the bill. It is perfect! It does my super thick carpets and ceramic floors with two different speeds. It has no height adjustment switch but I found no problem with suction power. It moves easy from floor to carpet without a struggle. I just used this vacuum for the first time and it has very strong suction on high power (haven't used it on low power). It seems to work very well. The unit is fairly light weight but with the high suction that makes it a little harder to maneuver on carpet - but I feel like my carpet is getting cleaned well. The power cord is very long which is good and bad - good because I only have to plug it in one outlet for my whole apartment - bad because it gets in the way. It was easy enough to assemble - so far, so good. Overall I think it's a good value for the price and am so glad to have found something with a BAG that works for me. I used this vacuum for the first time today. I purchased this one figuring that being labeled as commercial it was a little better. The only thing I need to vacuum are a handful of entryway rugs. Rural area with a packed sand driveway. After a few minutes of use I picked up a pea sized pebble and it shattered the impeller fan. Normally, I wouldn't have a major issue with that but after a long internet search found that the only option is to call the manufacturer. I researched for another brand of vacuum and the availability of a simple part like the impeller and ordered that one to replace this Kenmore one. I am disappointed in the quality of the impeller, considering it is supposedly a commercial vacuum. The lack of available parts is also a big negative. My original vacuum was/is a cheaper one but it still works, it just got old like me and the outer plastics were starting to fail . This vacuum does have excellent suction and the two speed is a nice feature. Weight is actually comfortable for me. What would happen if I had little ones to clean up after, all those little parts and pieces that I can't see very easily anymore. Would I have to replace the impeller every time I vacuumed? Unfortunately due to the rapid failure and lack of available parts has caused me to rate this at a two star. Read more

This Kenmore vacuum is outstanding! I put the vacuum together with ease. I decided to try out the vacuum and ended up vacuuming my entire place! This is a great vacuum!! It’s light weight, compact, and has great suction. I have allergy induced asthma so bagged vacuums are the best way to go. Please keep in mind that bagged vacuums are louder than canisters but, they are cleaner. Read more

This vacuum cleaner is exactly what I was looking for. I didn't want anything to do with multuple filters. Intended to purchase from a different manufacturer, but reviews indicated that the quality of the Kenmore was better. I have an old, dusty home, 140 years plus.This machine makes quick work of all my floors, regardless of the surface. Dust collection bags are large and easy to change.
