As you can see from the reviews, this vacuum is controversial. Some love it, some hate it. No vacuum is perfect. But my honest opinion is: -It's great quality. Doesn't look or feel cheap at all. -It cleans both floors and carpets really well. I'm impressed how easily travels around on different surfaces picking up all the dirt efficiently. -It's so easy to clean under the beds, furnitures and along the edges now. After so many years using upright vacuums I was a little sick of them. They miss these areas. -It's the quietest vacuum I've had in a long, long time. - I don't think it's heavy and the dirt container is not small. So I'm contradicting some reviews. But again, no vacuum is perfect: - You have to get used to the design of canister vacuums. You pull the canister (which is no big deal for me). And of course you have to be careful with the "snake" as you clean. Don't trip yourself! -They use a little more storage space. I hope this review helps you make the right decision. I think I did. It's been nearly a year since I got this vacuum cleaner and I feel that it's sufficient time to really know how something works to give a proper and honest review. I originally bought this vacuum because I have had Kenmore vacuums in the past and had a great experience with them. They lasted a long time (my first one lasted over 10 years!) and did a great job getting all of the hairs, dust, dirt, etc off of my floors and carpets. This one is not one to rave about in the least. We have 4 dogs who shed a lot and this vacuum, although says it's "pet friendly", really isn't. It has a hard time getting fur off of the carpet and couches--we have a long haired dachshund, a short haired chihuahua-husky mix, a long haired Cavalier King Charles-chihuahua mix, and a double coated Golden/Labrador/Shepherd mix, so fur is a "thing" in our household. The longer fur gets caught up in the roller bristles and you have to use scissors to cut the fur out. There is no floor attachment, so you only have the motorized head, which I thought would be ok since it's a vacuum designed with pets in mind, but the reality is that you still need that floor attachment to really get all of the dust/dirt/fine hairs off the floor. I ended up buying a separate attachment, but I feel that this should have come with one to begin with. The suction power is average--not really any better than Kenmore vacuums I've had in the past. In fact, I feel the old vacuums were better and had stronger suction power. The bagless feature was also another thing I thought I would like (my past vacuums have been bagged), but in the end, it makes a more of a mess when emptying the canister and not something I would recommend if you have any type of allergies or asthma issues; or just don't want to have to clean up after cleaning because the dust goes everywhere when the canister opens; even when you have the canister inside of the trashcan to minimize the dust cloud that is inevitably created when you empty it. Unfortunately, it's long past the return window, so I'm stuck with this vacuum until I'm either fed up enough with it, or it breaks, but for the price and for what it doesn't do, I would not recommend this vacuum to anyone who has pets unless said pet is a goldfish. Update 9/2023 We could not figure out the issue and the warranty was over so we threw it away lol It was just not worth it and way too heavy and large to vacuum with to go spend the money to have it fixed by a repair person. Update two years later 2/20/23, the floor head backing does not stand up anymore and it keeps spitting things back out. We can only use the extension wand and attachments. It doesn't suction like it used to and there is no clog. I'm gonna take it apart to clean it soon, replace the belt, and check to see if the brush roll needs to be replaced. I will update again. But yea, so far, I wish I didn't even buy it. Vacuuming over shag rugs has started to weigh on me. Plus, it's such a heavy vacuum to move around. Two reasons I would not buy it if I could go back. I will update my review later if a problem arises but so far, everything is fine. I purchased this to vacuum 2" pile shag rugs, laminate, and tile floors plus curtains. This vacuum does pack a very good suction power, does pick up the kind of dog hair that is needle like which sticks stubbornly into things, and for sure works on shag rugs. It works so well that you'll have to pick the rug up and vacuum everything that falls onto the floor under it. The only 4 things I don't like about this vacuum is it's heavy imo, the wheels don't pull over carpet very well, it's hard to vacuum over carpet, and the cord will get extremely hot if you don't pull it all of the way out. When you empty the chamber, I recommend taking it outside and hanging it in your trash can because it will fly everywhere if you try to do it in your small little kitchen trash can. None of these things made me want to return it. To each their own. Read more

It is a good cleaner - and quiet - I like the way it cleans the carpet. The thing I like best is the retractable cord and the length. The thing I do not like is the unit is not swivel --doesn't turn easily from one direction to another. Read more
