This did have pretty good suction power, and I know it's corded but I've had plenty of corded vacuums in the past but just because it's corded doesn't always mean they have good section power but this one does. It did a good job picking up some of the ground and dirt and the higher traffic areas of my house with only having to go over once. It also did a fantastic job on my cat tree getting up the cat hair that are two cats seem to leave everywhere they go and it didn't get tangled up in the roller either so it has that anti-hair tangle roller and even just using the attachment It did a good job getting the hair off the furniture as well as the carpets and the cat tree. It's got good swivel action It's got a lighted roller so you can see if it's a darker area the light is handy and the roller is motorized so it really does a good job at pulling stuff up out of the carpet especially if you have a deeper thicker carpet. It's got a nice long power cord so you're not having to stop in find another another outlet depending on the size of your rooms of course that your vacuuming but I can get most of the rooms done without having to unplug it. It does break down so again you can use it for like vacuuming the furniture in my case the cat tree too and even the cars if you have an outlet in your garage and you can vacuum up your cars too after you break it down. I have never had a Kenmore vacuum before Of course I heard their name appliances but this is my first Kenmore vacuum and I think it does a outstanding job I'm impressed with it It's got good section power It's not very heavy it's easy to empty the dustbin and replace the filter and it comes with a couple of attachments a upholstery tool and another little vacuuming attachment head. I chose this vacuum because it is corded and will vacuum my whole apartment without losing its charge like a rechargeable vacuum. I traditionally like a cordless vacuum, but found I need something a bit more heavy duty at times. This vacuum fits the bill. I also knew the Kenmore brand, so decided this was a good value for a name brand vacuum. Because it is compact with good attachments it is easy to store and doesn’t take a lot of space. The vacuum is very easy to assemble and has a good selection of tools for use on furniture and blinds as well as the main unit for both hardwood and carpet. I’m impressed with the excellent suction of this vacuum on my carpets and on my hard surfaces. I felt like our carpets are much cleaner with this vacuum and I also took advantage of the different attachments to vacuum the furniture which was great! I also like that the main unit has a light to help me see. We don’t have a pet and we are retired, so we don’t have a lot of heavy duty cleaning needs, but I’m certain this vacuum would definitely clean anything we have and much more. Having a cord makes it a little less convenient but the trade off is better cleaning ability and suction, and being able to vacuum every room without running out of charge. I will use my small cordless for occasional small cleanups, but this versatile and more powerful unit will be the heavy cleaning option. Kenmore stick vacuum Pros: this is lightweight , easy to use and easy to store. The suction is decent and the roller brush has little to no issues. It functions well, sucks up almost anything and holds up well. The cord is long enough for a small apartment without having to unplug it. It picks up dirt and dust the way a standard stick vac would. Cons: For the price it is a bit lackluster. It operates as a standard stick vacuum but is priced in the higher range. I expected more. It is very top heavy and does not stand on its own and is constantly falling over. The dust bin is extremely small but also not very easy to empty and put back together. This vacuum has surprisingly strong suction for a stick vac. It works well on carpets, bare floors, and furniture, and the hair eliminator nozzle is helpful if you have pets. The corded design means you don’t have to worry about battery life, but it does limit mobility a bit. It’s lightweight and easy to maneuver, though. This lightweight Kenmore stick vacuum is packed with all kinds of useful qualities. The suction power is great and it even picks up small items off of the bare floors as often some vacs do not. Transitions between carpeted and bare floors are amazing and smooth. The long cord is a strong plus. I can do my upstairs without having to stop, re-plug and start again. It is mostly made of a very strong plastic with the middle pole or stick made of metal. The vac converts to a shorter hand tool that is only 4 lbs. and easy to handle. The hair elimination nozzle on the floor brush automatically detangles the hair so you do not have to do the big chore of cleaning off the hair which I have taken scissors to on older vac models. The headlight is a must for any vac because it provides visualization in hard to see areas and corners. The fact that the head swivels allow for better movement and steering of the vac. I feel this product is worth the cost and even better if purchased on sale. Read more
