I was hesitant to buy this for a few reasons. I was afraid it would cover too much of the air vent... I wasn't sure it was worth $25 (it's so small!)... and I doubted its ease of use. I am SO happy with this item! Here in Florida, your car's air conditioning is like gold. While my phone (HTC One m7) does block a bit of the air vent — more so in horizontal position than in vertical — I am happy to report that the vent is not completely blocked (at least on my Forester) when in this holder. Since I use this mount only occasionally for road trips and to get to unfamiliar places around town, I don't have to worry about constant blockage of a/c. When not in use, this phone mount has a very minimal footprint over the air vent, and is easily removed if you don't want it there at all. I leave it there. No biggie whatsoever. It is small, but sturdy. Very well constructed. There's no shaking and no fear your phone will fall out. I didn't realize this until I got it, but the prongs on the back are set up for both thick and thin air vents. You just have to twist the device to switch between the settings, which is a little bit tough, but certainly not impossible. That toughness helps me feel confident this thing is made to last. I've already sold one friend on the device. He travels a ton for work, and this is way easier to pack, take along and set up in a rental car than traditional suction cup phone mounts. I really like the Kenu Airframe+ as it's the only car mount I have found that works with my large Nexus 6P and the bumper around it. I tried other mounts that were magnetic and the adhesive wore out over time, and larger mounts with a swivel arm with a dashboard suction cup that couldn't hold the weight of a large phone. The Kenu Airframe+ vent mount on the back has a simple option for thick or thin air vents and fits perfectly into the vents on my 2017 Kia Sportage. I have driven with the Kenu Airframe+ for a few weeks and it doesn't bounce or shake at all when I turn corners or hit bumps in the road. The phone holder itself has a very solid grip on the phone and it keeps the phone securely in place. I also like the size and portability of the Kenu Airframe+ so I can carry it in my pocket if I need to use it on my desk or another flat surface. My only serious complaint here is with the holder for the phone. I knocked it one star because of this. It is impossible for me to easily remove the phone from the Kenu Airframe+ with one hand. I have to remove the Kenu Airframe+ from the air vent, then pull back on the spring with both hands to remove my phone. When I get back into my car, I have to insert my phone back into the Kenu Airframe+ with both hands and put it back into the air vents. Over time, I can see where this repeated removing and inserting the mount into the air vents will either damage my vents or the Kenu Airframe+ rubber mounts on the back. I wish there was a one button feature that allowed me to easily insert or release my phone in the Kenu Airframe+, otherwise it's annoying having to struggle with the spring mount just to get my phone in and out of the Kenu Airframe+ Hopefully, there is a simple hack that would allow for this to happen. I first got a normal sized Kenu Airframe around 2015 when I worked at a large electronics retailer. Having worked there, I tested a vast range of phone holders of all different types - Vent mounts, dash mounts, cupholder mounts, windshield mounts, mounts with magnetic cards - Just about anything you can think of, I tried. Every mount I tried suffered from a myriad of issues, whether it was shaky arm issues, unreliable adhesives, or weak vent/phone clips, there was always something going wrong. That is, until I got my Kenu. The Kenu's strong vent clips are the only clips that truly stay in place without fail. On top of that, the mechanism used to secure the phone is rock-solid, though it does take a bit of time to learn the technique for getting your phone in & out with one hand. Once you get that down, it's incredibly easy to use. A few years ago I upgraded my phone to one with a larger screen. To my dismay, my phone no longer fit in my Kenu, so I passed it along to my partner for her to use. Needless to say, I was ECSTATIC when I saw that there was an XL version (Airframe Pro). Why I didn't look earlier still baffles me, as it was a product I loved and missed dearly, but oh well. The Airframe Pro is just as perfect as the normal Airframe, with what seems to be an even better mechanism to hang on to my vents. The mechanism used to secure the phone appears to be the same as the one from almost a decade ago - I'm very glad they didn't fix something that wasn't broken! After almost a full decade of use, the only issue I had with my original Airframe is that the rotation mechanism has worn out, but all the clips still hold strong and it's not a huge problem. I don't anticipate that the Airframe Pro will suffer from the same issue since the design of the vent clip has been updated. It also fits my S22 Ultra perfectly, even with the LifeProof case that I have on it. All in all, I'm very happy with this product, and cannot recommend it enough.
