This is the one. It's a bit expensive but worth every penny. The SOFTWARE! It works perfectly. Very easy to understand and intuitive. I have tried Glorious keyboards and Royal Kludge and their software is terrible. for the Keychron, No downloads, its all done through a web browser. Per key RGB control! You have to plugin the cable to customize the keyboard, but then you can revert to wireless mode and all your setting will be saved onto the keyboard. So all your settings will remain saved on the keyboard even in wireless mode, unlike the Royal Kludge, which i returned before i bought this one. I love the sound that this keyboard makes, very "THOCKY". The lights are a bit dim but a fair tradeoff for the premium functionality that this has. Also it is heavy which is good. It doesnt slide around and makes it feel very solidly built. Stop shopping and just get this one! Read more

I bought this solely as an alternative to my main keyboard. I was really interested in the Hall-Effect switches and the joystick simulation—the idea of mimicking joystick movement on a keyboard drew me in. Unfortunately, it just isn’t ideal. There are a lot of hoops to jump through just to set it up, and even after all that, you’re still at the mercy of the game supporting the implementation. If it doesn’t, you’re out of luck. In my case, I already have a solid keyboard (ROG Azoth), and I only wanted this as a secondary option for moments when I need joystick movement—like stealth missions or slow, immersive movement. For that, it’s kind of a bust. BUT—if this will be your only keyboard, it might be worth it for you. It’s got solid weight, and the sound and feel are amazing—definitely a deep, thocky sound profile. Premium materials all around, and the build quality is great. It’s a fantastic first choice. Still 5 stars—not the keyboard’s fault it didn’t work for me. As a pure keyboard, it’s premium, thocky, and flawless. Just don’t buy it only for the joystick. Read more

If you have carpal tunnel (or are simply a fumble finger typist), this is the one to buy. My touch-typing is not great, and I have been buying increasingly stiffer keyboards to prevent typos, but the amount of force has caused a little wrist stiffness. I heard that this keyboard, with its magnetic keys, allows you to adjust the drop distance (not sure that's the official name) that a key needs to make before it will register the stroke, and so could split the difference of requiring a more deliberate, relatively soft stroke without doing in my wrists with a heavy press. This keyboard was even better than I expected. I've said it to the maximum depression to trigger the key stroke and the occasional brush of my finger over other keys, no longer causes typos. Also come on my wrists are fine! I have a Mac, and it came Mac-specific keys and a very easy set-up. I am so pleased with this keyboard. It's also an extremely good price for a Hall Effect keyboard. Thumbs up all around. Read more

This is an INCREDIBLE keyboard. Build quality is amazing. The top cover is metal and the bottom is high quality plastic. Typing feel is really good and the sound is a super nice thock. I have way more keyboards than I'd like to admit, some costing nearly double this one, and this is the best sounding stock one by a good margin. The HE features are great for gamers offering some advantages in certain games if you set them up correctly. Only taking away a star because the software is difficult to use in one major aspect. When I first opened the keyboard I really didn't like the placement of the DEL and RGB keys. I wanted to swap them. To do so, you would want to open the Keychron Launcher and remap the keys before swapping the keycaps. Unfortunately, when plugging the keyboard in, setting the switch to cable, opening Keychron Launcher, and hitting connect, I was stuck at an infinite loading screen. It took me hours to try and find a solution that I kind of stumbled across. Deep in the Keychron site I found firmware and instructions for flashing the keyboard. I flashed the updated firmware and still couldn't get the Keychron software to work. Elsewhere on the site, I found instructions stating that if you held down Fn+J+Z you could reset the keyboard to factory defaults. Finally, after using that button combination, I was able to get the software to connect and get access to the full suite of software controls. Excellent keyboard, but you shouldn't have to spend hours troubleshooting right after you receive it to get access to everything it offers. Read more

Exactly what I was hoping for in a new keyboard that is durable, oil resistant so it won't get "shiny" keys, cool lighting options, and such a creamy typing experience. Bluetooth, dongle, and USB connections. It has some weight to it and feels like quality. Read more
