I purchased this kidde co detector for our car or when we travel. I got this brand coz it’s UL-certified, so I know it meets safety standards and has been properly tested that alone gives me confidence it’s reliable. Setup was easy since it runs on AA batteries, no wiring or complicated installation required. The LED indicators make it simple to check status at a glance, and the test/reset button works smoothly. It also says there will be low-battery alert, so it won’t quietly stop working without me knowing. The portable size is another bonus it’s easy to move if I want coverage in other places, or even take it along when traveling. For anyone looking for a trusted, approved, and low-maintenance CO alarm, this one really covers the essentials. You have to do research before buying Read more

I picked up this carbon monoxide detector because I realized the one we had was way too old and probably not doing much anymore, With kids in the house and a spouse who loves reminding me about home safety I figured it was time to actually replace it with something reliable, I wasnt looking for anything fancy just something dependable and easy to test, This one ended up being exactly what we needed When it arrived I put the batteries in and the whole setup took maybe a minute which was great because I was also trying to keep the kids from using the box as a spaceship, The test button worked right away and the alarm was loud enough that the kids came running asking what happened, At least now I know I will definitely hear it even if I am half asleep or buried in laundry The LED indicators are simple and make it clear when everything is working or when the batteries need changing, My spouse liked that part because they hate guessing whether a detector is actually active or just hanging on the wall for decoration, The low battery alert is loud but not painfully loud which is nice because those things always start beeping at two in the morning for some reason I mounted it in the hallway near the bedrooms and it has stayed in place without any issues, It is lightweight and portable so I could easily move it if needed or take it with us during a trip where we stay somewhere that doesnt have detectors, The kids even asked how it works which turned into a whole safety lesson that I didnt plan but I guess was good for everyone For something so small and simple it brings a lot of peace of mind and feels like one of those things every home should have without thinking twice I currently highly recommend this product. However, should issues arise I will update my review accordingly. Read more

Second one I bought for the house. I have five different units throughout the house, some use batteries others are plugin models. Everyone of these devices are not the best. They work based on two factors, the concentration of carbon monoxide and the length of time at that concentration. Two units sounded at the same time. They had different number readings but were in the same room. Traced the problem to a water heater with a dirty flame. Fixed the problem and the alarms went silent. I read the specifications included with the alarm and was surprised at the variability these can have. Also one of my older units went bad and ate batteries every 5 weeks. Do your family a favor and have more that one in the house. I have one in the furnace room, two upstairs, one in basement, and a floater that gets moved around. Why I like this one the best. It will tell you if there is a peak level even at 11 ppm. Most units do not. Peak level is important to check once in a while. The digital readout also tells you how serious the situation is. I had a 350 when the water heater went berserk. That means open ALL the windows. Also the battery models give you greater flexibility when deciding where to place it. Most of my electric outlet plug in models are in places that are inconvenient. I avoided the 10 year battery model because it might make me forget about this alarm, and you should check or test it (use the button) once in a while. For the price and features and reliability, this is your best choice. Read more

The Kidde Carbon Monoxide Detector is one of those small investments that delivers huge peace of mind. After installing it in my home, I immediately felt more secure knowing that my family is protected from something as serious—and silent—as carbon monoxide exposure. Setup was incredibly easy. It took just a few minutes to install, and the instructions were clear and straightforward. The digital display is a nice touch—it gives real-time CO levels, which adds an extra layer of reassurance beyond just an alarm. What really stands out is its reliability and thoughtful design. It has a clear, loud alert that’s hard to miss, and the test/reset button works without a hitch. I also appreciate that it’s battery-operated with a backup option, so it continues working even during power outages. In a world where safety often gets overlooked until it’s too late, this detector provides consistent, quiet protection you can depend on. If you’re looking for an easy-to-use, durable, and accurate carbon monoxide detector, Kidde is a brand you can trust—and this unit proves it. Highly recommended for any home, apartment, or even RV. It’s a small device that could make a life-saving difference. Read more
