Brass is nice inner workings are all plastic.
First had problem with one valve and had to take apart to correctly function. Tee for water lines attached to spout has to be just barely snugged as too tight curls it up into spout and not sealing, (should have a thick plastic washer or hardened rubber. Inner working's are completely plastic on valves not brass like higher quality facets. Also along with the problematic "T" fitting on bottom of spout the connection's on bottom of valves are not threaded with screw in fitting's like better examples but are brazed in and so be careful tightening as to not break weld's. This coupled with entire drain being plastic also with a weird dual rubber designed seal that has to be tightened and continually retested for leaks, only facing in bottom of sink is brass covering over plastic. Did this to replace an older Kohler brass facet wanting to save a little. Everything on that Kohler was brass and threaded to be tightened securely so that you felt safe with assembly, even the entire sink drain assembly was solid brass. If you have a brass assembly, if it is a quality fully manufactured name brand, made in America assembly, do not buy this product. I figure if this product does not fail for at least a couple years I will be buying the newer polished brass Kohler that now even has ceramic inner working's and will be money ahead when my children inherit my house with a quality facet while this one resides in a landfill. Stand by this review but want to add that seller today to address one issue after the fact must have read and sent out one replacement water valve that I just received without being asked. So it shows the seller will pay attention to reviews and try to address issues that his customers may have. Read more
