Disclaimer - it has not gotten much use yet. The lag screws they provided are not the best and are quite long. I installed a 2x behind the joist so that the lags wouldn't stick out. While installation was fairly easy, the instructions were fairly weak. You likely want to use a level. The phillips head on the lags strip out quite easily. Count on using a wrench/rachet to tighten it down. Overall I am fairly surprised how sturdy it is... at least for now. I am 230 on a skinny day... no issues nor concerns when doing a pullup. We put this up in our basement where we have an exercise space. VERY sturdy and works great for pull ups, just hanging. Attached a pull up assist strap so I can build up to greater strength. I can recommend this! Read more
I wanted to give this product a 3.5 star rating but because it is well made, and because Amazon doesn't allow for 1/2 stars (I think?) I went with a 4 star rating. The product is well made without a doubt, but that critique is limited to the materials used. Most U.S. homes have wall studs 16" on center. Older homes 24" on center. This product is not built to mount with either of those dimensions in mind. The uprights are on the mark but the screw holes are on either side of the stud, so I had to first mount a horizontal support and then mount the bar to that. It's not how I would have liked to mount it but I had no choice. Essentially, it comes down to the strength of my horizontal mount and not the quality of the product that is key, and that's a shame. Not sure what the designers were thinking. Read more
The media could not be loaded. We were able to mount this pull up bar on a joist in our garage. It mounted no problem. You were able to do chin ups, pull-ups, neutral, grip, pull-ups, wide, grip pull-ups, all with this bar. You could even put a band and do assisted pull-ups on this part as well. At the price point this pull up art is essential for any home garage gym. Read more

Excellent and sturdy product. Installation is more involved, but it is worth it. Read more
Solid, well built item. Damaged in packaging. Read more
I'm really liking this bar. I thought about getting a free standing set up, but I like the open floor space better. Plenty of room to get chin up over the bar. I used a level to get the first upright plumb, then assembled the rest of the bar to assure a level pull up position. Read more
