This set is very shape. The bigger ones are not serrated so the knife stays sharper. It has a built in sharpener. The set looks great. The set has regular steak knives, a bread knife, scissors and more. The set is very easy to put together and to use. It is a great addition to any kitchen. Surprisingly Good Knives, Awkward Sharpener
I was pleasantly surprised by this 15-piece Haugo knife set. Right out of the box, the knives are very sharp and feel surprisingly well-balanced in the hand, which isn't always the case at this price point. The variety is excellent; the set includes everything I need for daily kitchen tasks. The handles are made of plastic, which initially made me question their long-term durability. However, they are ergonomically designed and are surprisingly comfortable to hold and work with, even during longer prep sessions. My main complaint is the built-in sharpener. While it's a convenient idea, the execution is poor. It is set sideways on the block, which makes it very uncomfortable and awkward to pull a knife through. It's not a natural or easy motion. That said, it does seem to hewn the blades, so it is functional—just not well-designed. Overall, I'm very pleased with the knives themselves. For the price, the sharpness, balance, and variety are great. The set loses a star for the poorly designed sharpener and the potential long-term concern over the plastic handles, but as of now, it's a solid performing set. Read more
