The stones feel like great quality, and there are many things I find amazing about this: 1: The rubber base is perfect for holding the stones in place, zero slipping while you are making your knife razor sharp (it’s a good thing, I promise) 2. Having 4 stones in one is all you need to make your knife sharper than ever before. You can even use the extremely rough stone (made for re-flattening the stones if/when they get uneven w/ use) to make more drastic changes to the blade. I used it to make a knife double edged. 3. There are so many accessories, I am honestly confused how and WHY this is so cheap. The stones, base, knife guide for better edge (or beginners), chisel sharpening accessory, anti-cut gloves that work great (see video), and strop. The only quality issue I see is the strop, but it does the job and is not absolutely necessary to have. Final note, knife sharpening does take time to master. If you’re not good at it right away, just focus on keeping your angle the same every time you run the knife down the stone. One wrong stroke after ten correct strokes can leave you with a dull knife. This is a good all.around kit for sharpening. The stones are about 7 inches long and double sided .It includes a glove and strop,too. If you are less familiar with this method,you can get a gauge to help maintain a proper angle . Comes in a sturdy box and stores there . Many instructions on YT for use of sharpening stones. I highly advise viewing some,then practice on something inexpensive,not your wife's $300 sewing shears . Reasonably priced . Read more

Very high quality and sturdy set of various grit whet stones, large and heavy enough and with wood and rubber bases so they do not slide. This feels like a set that will last for years. I suspect one of my children will enjoy them long after me. Besides, they also look very good and are available in alternate grits if I need to refine the set. Read more
