Good entry-level ceramic cookware, pretty good quality
This review is similar to my other reviews for other items in this product line: This brand is long-established, but also known now for producing affordable ceramic cookware for those looking to avoid all teflon, but still wanting a non-stick surface to work with. Also, there are many switching to induction cooktops these days, so that's another nice feature to have available. What's nice about these is they don't require a huge money investment to try them out and decide whether you want to go this route or not. For me, I've found that ceramic generally works best when used with a little bit of oil, and also you don't want to overheat the pan or risk scorching. That said, this heats well and evenly, I had no problems with food sticking, and examining it, the ceramic coating looks pretty solid. On other feature I like about this cookware is it's oven-safe. YES, you will need a potholder if you use it that way, but at least it's possible, which I find a highly desirable capability that my old circulon set did not have. Supposedly it's also dishwasher safe, but I've always hand-washed my pots and pans. For this one, my only minor issue is as always, how to store the lids. I like to loop them over the handle for hanging on my pot-rack, and resorted to using folded over elastic hair-ties to do the job. It works and is colorful. Overall, a good value and the purple color I got is nice—and I like the fact I was able soon after to fill out a complete set of the same brand and style. Thumbs up. Read more
