I bought this portable monitor mainly because I wanted a second screen that I can just pull out and use without making my desk look like a whole “setup.” After using it for a bit, I can say the best part is honestly the ease of usage, and the fact that it already has a stand makes a bigger difference than I expected. First, the stand is super convenient. With a lot of portable screens you end up juggling a cover, or hunting for something to prop it up, and that gets annoying fast. Here, I just open it, set the angle, and it’s good to go. The stand feels stable enough for normal work (emails, docs, YouTube, coding, etc.). I’ve moved it around between my desk and dining table and it’s been simple every time. I also like that I can change the viewing angle quickly, like if I’m sitting straight vs leaning back. It’s a small thing but it makes it feel way more “usable” day to day. Now about the screen resolution — it looks really sharp. Text is clear, spreadsheets don’t look blurry, and it’s easy on the eyes for long work sessions. I was expecting it to be “good for portable” but it actually looks properly nice, like not washed out. Colors look clean, and videos look great too. I use it a lot for side-by-side work (one screen for meetings and one for notes), and it definitely helps productivity. Also, because the display is crisp, I don’t find myself zooming in all the time which I usually do on cheaper screens. If you want an easy second screen with a solid built-in stand and a really nice, sharp display, this one is totally worth it. This is actually the second KYY monitor purchased. The previous one is still working fine, but this new version has some great improvements. What’s new and better: Built-in Stand: The new integrated stand is much better than the old style. It's stable and makes it easy to switch between horizontal and vertical modes. Improved Buttons: They moved to actual buttons on the back instead of the old trackwheel. It’s way faster to change the volume or brightness now. Picture & Weight: The 1080P screen looks noticeably sharper than my last one. Even with the metal build, it’s still very lightweight and easy to travel with. I have another KYY portable monitor that I use for work when I am remote in the field. After using it and realizing how much nicer it is to have that second screen when working on my laptop, I was really wanting another to use when I'm sitting on my couch in my living room. When I saw this one, I knew it was designed a little differently from my other one. This one has a kickstand on the back you use to prop it up, whereas my other one has a foldable cover that provides a sort of stand to prop the screen up. The positive is that the other one has a cover and this one does not, but I like the kickstand because the footprint it takes up on my side table is a lot less than the cover/stand type. It comes with 3 cables you need to use it with every laptop or output you would need, including a USB-C cord to use to power it up if necessary. I love it because without any adjustments right out of the box, the screen looks amazing. And the instructions it comes with are wonderful to help you hook it up multiple ways. If you haven't experienced how nice a portable monitor is, I highly recommend getting one. I wish it had some sort of case to keep the screen protected. This is a really nice 15.6” portable monitor if you need an extra screen for a laptop setup. The display looks crisp at 1080p and the matte finish helps reduce glare. I mainly use it for work (email, documents, and multitasking) and it’s made a noticeable difference. What I like most is the built-in adjustable stand — it feels stable and makes it easy to switch between landscape and portrait depending on what I’m doing. It also has both USB-C and mini HDMI, and it came with the cables I needed, so it was basically plug-and-play. I've had this monitor for two weeks now and it's held up great! Out of the box it will look dim and dull but once you turn up the brightness and turn on "HDR 2048" in the menu it shows bright and vibrant! My #1 tip is to test that setting even if your device doesn't support HDR. Other than that it was pretty plug-and-play. The monitor comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable, an HDMI-Mini-HDMI cable, and a USB-C to C cable so everything you could possibly need is included. It's held upright by a sturdy kickstand on the back that contains all the inputs as well as the OSD controls. Reaching all the way behind to use the OSD is annoying but you basically only need to do it once; my personal preference would be buttons on the top, side, or front bezel of the device. I didn't drop my rating for this though as it's a personal preference. It's super portable and with how light it is I imagine I'll carry it in my bag whenever I take a trip. I'm using a Retroid Pocket 6 but it should work great with the Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck or ROG Ally, whatever handheld or laptop you happen to have. Read more
