KYY 4K Portable Monitor for Laptop 15 6 Computer Screen Extender UHD 3840x2160 100 sRGB 400 Nits IPS

I am traveling and away from home quite often lately, and working on simply my laptop screen is really difficult after being used to a multi-monitor setup at home and work. I picked up this portable monitor to travel with me, and I'm really pleased I did. There are many things to love about this monitor from KYY. First, the packaging is fantastic. I would feel comfortable even giving this as a gift with how well it is packaged. It's 4K resolution (3840x2160), and displays beautifully. I've done video editing, watched movies on it, hooked my Switch up to it, and it handles it all with ease. It does come with its own folio cover/foldable stand, as well as all the cables and power adapter that you might need - USB C that will also power the monitor from your laptop, a mini HDMI cable, and then also an extra USB C cable with power block if you connect via HDMI. It does require power for HDMI connections as the monitor is not rechargeable. Speakers also are available in this monitor, as well as a headphone jack. There are buttons on the side to change the volume and source input. This monitor is so thin, even with its folio cover, it fits in my laptop sleeve with the laptop. I would also feel comfortable just putting it all in my backpack as well. It is very lightweight, and does not weigh down my bag while traveling. When you're not traveling, this monitor does feature VESA mount points on the back of it, meaning it can be attached to a monitor arm if desired. The weakest point of this monitor would be the speakers, which still are plenty loud. However they are located on the sides of the monitor and point outward, so the sound doesn't move toward you. The sound quality does falter a bit because of this. They definitely are not meant to listen to music with, but movies, video games, etc., all sound good enough. For the price, I think this is a fantastic deal to have a portable monitor of this quality, that comes with a protective cover/magnetic stand, and all cables needed to power/connect to your computer or laptop (or gaming console). I have been a big fan of all the KYY products so far. This one is no different! This 4k portable monitor has a crystal clear display with phenomenal resolution options. I don't game on my set-up, but videos are excellent. I am sure gaming would be fantastic quality too. I have mine in a fixed set up but would equally be super easy to travel with. I have multiple monitors from this company this is the best one yet. It it's great all the features I love with improved resolution and even better usability than the other models! The colors are vibrant, the resolution is crisp, it's lightweight, and sending it up as a breeze. I have taken it on two trips across the country and has worked perfectly. Those monitor is great! I am very pleased with this 4K Portable monitor! From the ease of use and set up I am very impressed with how easily an and seamlessly it is able to connect to multiple different types of products with completely different types of operating systems. So far I have had no issues connecting to my Nintendo Switch (via USB-C directly plugged into my Switch and connecting to the monitor while the power is also connected). I am also currently utilizing it in combination with my iPad and I was truly surprised that it was able to connect however I was not able to directly plug into the USBC to USBC. I had to use the display port in combination with a dongle optimized with HDMI port for my iPad and hook that display port to HDMI cable to be able to use this. SO while there is a bit of changing of cables that will need to come with me in situations of portability, I do think that for the actual use and benefits of having this screen extender, it is totally worth it. Just definitely bring all the cables just in case because genuinely you won’t really know how well it will work together. Although the user manual does a great job explaining the functionality and different ways in which this can be used. Most likely though you will need to use a mix of the power cable with either the USBC to USBC or the power with the display port to HDMI with any of the devices you chose to use. The brightness is OUT OF THIS WORLD. And I can also say that the display quality is truly unmatched with other portable monitors that I have tried in the past. I also can really appreciate the different settings that we are able to use with this! Most monitors are limited with settings and personalization in terms of colors, warmth, and brightness but this one has a variety of ways to change the viewing. This portable monitors also comes with a very nice quality and easy to use foldable folio-style case which can help keep the screen free from damage and dirt! MY only issue with this so far are that the power cable and power box that were given do not sustain the amount of power that the screen uses so it was a bit buggy and did alter the frames per second when playing my Switch and therefore I upgraded the power cord to my OWN that is a power house and since changing from the given smal 15W box to my 100W box and good quality cable it has not been buggy anymore. I use this for both my desktop and my laptop as a second screen. While not quite as gorgeous as the OLED panel on my HP x360 laptop, the picture is sharp at 4k, and plenty bright as well. It's light and travels well, weighing less than my laptop and fits easily along side it in my backpack. I'm a software developer, and I appreciate the crisp text and good color reproduction. I'm not a graphic designer, so I can't give feedback on how accurate the color reproduction is, but it seems plenty good given my untrained eye. Other than perhaps being a bit pricey at the $299 I paid for it, I can't say anything bad about it. I also appreciate that it has VESA mount holes on the back for additional mounting flexibility, should i want to make it a more permanent part of my setup. Read more
