Low will blend into the sound of the electronics hum quite well. It clears out smoke fast. I got it to clear the cigarette smoke out of the common areas that comes in when my dad smokes on the porch with the door cracked. I couldnt even tell he had any cigarettes last night and thats a huge difference than what it was like before. So, yeah, this thing is great and so is the price. My honeywell purifier cost me like 200 when I got it new a couple years back. Dont get me wrong it works well too but the lasko purifier has way exceeded my expectations. Read more

Great customer service. I was unlucky with my unit experiencing some faults where eventually the unit would not power on. Messaged with their support and they sent me a new replacement unit as it was still under warranty. Great customer service experience and a decent product. Read more

I bought it for the office but it's too big. It was supposed to have shipped with three filters. Only two pre-filters shipped with the product. Package says its ready to use however this is also in the user manual followed by, remove the plastic from the pre-packaged filters before first use. Sadly, I operated this without knowing this at first but once I opened the filter compartment, I realized the 2 (of 3) filters it shipped with were still wrapped in plastic, so it's not 'ready from the box.' We have been running air purifiers for both air quality AND sound (sometimes we can't sleep when it's too quiet) for DECADES. Finally had to get a new one. This one seemed to fit our needs. Problem is, it shuts itself off after 24 hours!! You CAN NOT run this purifier 24/7... probably some stupid green law says it MUST be this way. NO support from manufacturer. They sent a replacement that does the same thing. ALSO, it comes with the filter pre-installed. Thing is, it is wrapped in plastic. So REMEMBER to remove the filter and unwrap it! 10/2024 UPDATE - So this machine does filter out dust, but since my first post, it occasionally starts BEEPING and starting/stopping. It MAY have something to do with the filter, but last time I swapped in clean filters and it took a while for the unit to start running again properly. Has been a pain in the backside... Read more

Initially worked great but not for very long. Since it did turn on and was easy to set up, it did earn 1 star. After about 20 hours of use however, the timer (1-2-4-8 hours) began changing on it's own. Had difficult time turning unit off. When I did get it off, sometimes it would not start again. Could be a one off bad unit but I wouldn't recommend buying. Read more
