LED Garage Light 80W Deformable LED Ceiling Lights 12000 Lumens Led Shop Lights for Garage

I picked this light up for my garage and basement, both large spaces that were previously dim with old CFL bulbs. I initially considered the 120W version but decided to go with the 80W to save a bit. Was it bright? Absolutely. The first time I turned it on, I was so taken aback by the brightness that I saw spots in my vision for 15 minutes! I didn’t fully grasp what 12,000 lumens meant—it’s the equivalent of around 200 regular bulbs, and this is just the 80W model, not even the 120W. Honestly, photos and videos can’t do justice to how bright this light is. However, I ran into a problem: my garage and basement have relatively low ceilings, so the light is right within my line of sight. It’s so intensely bright that it’s almost painful to be in the room with it directly visible. If my ceilings were higher, this would be an ideal lighting solution for these spaces, but at this height, it’s just too much. I wish this light came with an option for a diffuser. Even softening it a bit would make it more manageable for spaces with lower ceilings. At 6000K, the light also has a blue tint, which only adds to the blinding effect. The box claims a “wide CCT range from 2700K to 6500K,” but I didn’t see an option to adjust the temperature. If I could drop it down to 4000K or 5000K, the light would likely feel more balanced and easier on the eyes. That said, there are some excellent features here. This light fits a standard E26/E27 socket, so it’s a straightforward swap from a regular bulb. It’s a bit bulky, so make sure you have the space for it. Unlike other large LEDs I’ve used, this one doesn’t get hot, which shows it’s dissipating heat efficiently. Plus, it has a handy twist feature, letting you twist freely and then adjust the three panels to direct light exactly where you need it. Ultimately, I’ll be swapping this out for some LED bulbs that are bright but a bit less blinding. If this light allowed for more diffusion, adjustable color temperature, or even a dimming option, it’d be perfect. If you’re considering this light, know what you’re getting—it’s extremely bright. Thrilled that this light could replace our original 30 year old garage light that recently burnt out. I was trying to find a screw in bulb just like the last one and could not find one. After searching the internet to no avail, a "light bulb" idea popped into my brain. Find the same screw in style garage light in an LED light bulb. We have not embraced the LED bulbs completely as the light is not as warm as the old style, so were concerned about ordering this. Turns out the light is just fine and bright enough for the garage and we are happy we were able to find a nice replacement ... interesting how the lights can flip up to give different type of brightness to the room. I had a fluorescent tube fixture in my garage forever and I was never happy with the way it lit the garage. So many dark corners! I don't have the knowledge to wire new lighting, but I did have several "bulb only" light fixtures, so I thought to try this as all I needed to do was screw it in to an existing fixture. Oh my!!! When I turned on the light I was thrilled with how bright it was! And the ability to direct the lights means that there are no more dark corners in my garage! The light was very bright as I hoped it would be, but I needed it to brighten my kitchen and I thought it would work for that but my lights had a tube around the bulb and it wouldn't fit. But nothing was wrong with the brightness. Very bright. Read more

Did a bunch of research online for Garage Lighting. Currently have 3 regular bulbs in my ceiling and decided to go with either LED track lighting or this type of bulb (or the corncob style). Decided on the 80W / 12000 LM Deformable bulb. Just wanted to get 1 at this time based on all the reviews I read. Ordered it, arrived 2 days later. Packaging was excellent, no damage whatsoever, arrived in perfect condition. Upon inspection, materials looked good, looked pretty sturdy, couldn't wait to install it! DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN when installing!!! Got it to house, turned off the light switch, removed the old 60W bulb from the fixture, Installed the new light, turned on the switch, and was amazed at how brightly it lit up my 3 car garage. I have 3 fixtures in my ceiling, and I installed it in the center one. Had my garage door open at the time (it was during the evening, so it was dark outside) and it lit up the garage wall to wall!!! I decided I wanted to adjust the light to get more light towards the garage doors, so I turned off the light switch, went back up the ladder and went to adjust the bulb a 1/3 of a turn. Felt it give way, and the light spun off in my hand, wires were still connected and the threads were still in the light socket. Did I mention DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN?! Should the light have been able to withstand this happening? I suppose so, but I only recall this on one other review. It could have been made stronger I guess, but again, I should have known better (I'm definitely old enough to know better). I can't blame the manufacturer for my own mistake! My own stupidity cost me $49.99. The light worked like I had hoped it would, bright, with great coverage in my 3 car garage. If I wouldn't have over tightened the bulb, it would have worked perfectly for what I was needing. If I get another one of these, I will definitely be very cautious when installing it. Read more
