Very happy with these. The diffusing bulb covers are full length without the usual base you find on most LED replacement bulbs. This provides more omnidirectional light and better ascetics. I have not tested the dimming feature except to note that they do require modern dimmer switches. I also bought some of the 75W version which are similarly good. Read more

I have wall sconces in my living room. Even with the brightest Edison bulbs I could find my room was still somewhat dim. I decided to forego aesthetics and get these traditionally shaped bulbs to see if the brightness outweighed the difference in bulb shape. Verdict? Yes, yes it does. These bulbs are bright without being glaring. The color temperature is just right, creating a warm glow while brightening the room just the right amount. I've only had these installed about a week but have had them on quite a bit and there has been no flickering. I'm really happy with these bulbs. Read more

These light bulbs fit in my nearly 60 year old lamp. They emit enough light for me to read any material whether it be a book, a bill, etc. and the light is steady -- no flickering. They are easy to gently twist into the socket and last quite awhile. I hope that the remaining bulbs are as good as the ones I've used. UPDATE: These are very bright bulbs. We just placed three in my kitchen light fixture which has a dimmer. While one bulb, for reading, in a lamp with an ample shade is good, three bulbs in bell-shape fixtures [three comprised forms the fixture] is quite something else. I just replaced 3 bulbs because one had blown. The other two were flickering to the extent that I thought we had a wiring problem which we may -- only time will tell. I'm unsure why, but we had to replace all three bulbs and now they appear to be okay. I don't think that one should have to replace all the bulbs just because one blew. As I type, these light bulbs have been on for awhile and are holding steady. Honestly, while I'm grateful to have the light, I prefer a warmer look. I am old fashioned and prefer a soft, warm & welcoming glow. Unless I dim, these present an unpleasant glare to my eyes. Under my ample, very light tan shade, they are fine and cause no eye problems. One of the six bulbs was broken in its box, all others are OK and work. No damage evident to the shipping container. It makes no sense to return the item, and when I went through the steps to have them refund the price of just one bulb their system didn't give me that option. I can't see making them refund the full price of the six pack, which was the only option they offered, so I just cancelled the claim. As for the bulbs, the color and brightness of the light is excellent, and the dimming is the smoothest I've experienced with an LED bulb. If they fix the problem with broken bulbs winding up in shipments, and of course if the life span is as claimed, they would be worthy of a five star rating. Read more

I have to say, after using some older style LED bulbs at home, installing these was an immediate difference. Super bright, great clarity, and not even the faintest of flicker! Pretty much recommend these across the whole home. Unfortunately, I ordered 2 of the 4 packs, and 1 package of them were destroyed. The packaging is pretty much retail store display packaging and not really optimized for shipment. In the 4 pack, all the bulbs are pretty much sitting right next to each other, only separated by a thin piece of cardboard, so the smallest of shifts could destroy the glass. I do wish that Amazon would've at least put in some paper as a cushioning, but they did not in my 2 most recent lightbulb orders. I still requested a replacment since these bulbs are awesome, but I really hope they deliver in one piece. It's just so hard to find bulbs with specifically this color temperature and brightness. THESE ARE NOT DAYLIGHT, but nearer the old incandescent bulbs. To be more accurate, these are what I would call halfway between the two. And that is a good thing. Once 5200 degrees kelvin, "Daylight" or "Bright White" LEDs were perfected, they have become the standard for most people to use everywhere. But using a daylight bulb in a living space is just wrong! In your home, you don't put the sun in a room where the sun never shines! The 5200Ks are intended for offices, shops, kitchens, bathrooms and other work spaces where daylight is needed. But look at your skin. Every imperfection is multiplied well beyond what anyone would notice under norman lighting conditions. And, believe it or not, studies have shown it is harder to relax in a room with daylight white lighting. The old incandescent 3200K bulbs made your skin just a little too rosey for photography, so special filters were required on cameras in order to get natural skin tones indoors. But your home actually looked much warmer and inviting than with the harsh LED light most people now use. Sylvania has come up with the answer. Sylvania calls these bulbs, "TruWave Natural," but they stop short of explaining what the name means unless you scrutinize the box, which can be even more confusing. I'm a retired AV designer with 32 years experience in every kind of theater, concert and TV lighting, so I decided to buy some "TruWave" bulbs just to find out what they were. Sylvania also offers these bulbs in a 3000K, which probably overdoes it a bit, and their version of the daylight, with the excessive, unseen, harsh blue content that causes all sorts of problems. I'm no ad man, but I call these bulbs, "What you ought to use everywhere but the kitchen or a shop bulbs." Read more
