After quite a lot of investigation I found this window mount for my new iPhone. I’ve been looking for a way to use my iPhone as a forward looking camera for taking YouTube videos. I’m driving a 2023 Kia Telluride and it’s not very well set up for mounting a phone on top of the dashboard. In addition to lack of space due to the curves and bends of the upper surface, the material has a rough surface that won’t accommodate a suction mount. Likewise the air vents are designed to be very thin horizontally and won’t allow a vent hook. The suction mount of this unit is very strong and allows placement right next to my rear view mirror mount with the phone mount hanging below it. The build is mostly of metal and very robust. My initial testing shows almost no vibration of the picture while driving. I was also easily able to find a position where the mounting hardware wasn’t visible in the frame of the picture (a defect the last model I tried suffered). The sturdiness and very effective design of this mount - and the very reasonable price make this a very good buy. I highly recommend it. Read more

I live in a hot climate and was tired of the phone holders being destroyed by the heat. I decided to go with an aluminum one. This product description said all major components were aluminum. Thats not exactly true. The part of the system that holds the phone is plastic and that seems like a major component to me. The system is handling the heat so far. It takes 2 hands to put the phone on, but it has a very from grip. The suction cup is strong and there are no adhesives so the unit can be easily moved to a different location or car. Once installed the arm is very rigid. It came with a little remote control for the phone. That will live in my drawer until I die because I have no use for it, but who doesn't need more gadgets. Good adjustability, the claims of its suction strength seem to be a little exaggerated. The included remote was a “bonus”, or it would have been if it worked. The one I received appears to have a defective on/off switch and seldom comes on. Read more
