I use these filters with my Levoit 400s. These genuine Levoit filters are good at removing odors and dust. I highly recommend removing the filter once every month to check for dust buildup. There is a high probability you will need to wipe off the outer dust buildup every 1-3 months, but it does depend on how dusty your space is, and at what fan speed you use your air purifier at. To clean the dust, use a dry cloth. The dust comes off really easy. As for removing odors, the filter does a very good job. However, be aware that, how long the filter lasts depends on how much smell/smoke you're pulling from the air, and how often the air purifier is running, and at what speed. I use this in my bedroom, no smoke and no strong odors, and it runs 24/7, and when I run this on auto or at the lowest fan speed, I usually get six months before the filter begins putting out a certain smell that lets me know I need to replace it. You may need to replace yours earlier or later. It all depends on the factors I mentioned. Overall, very good filters, but also very expensive, and not great for the environment to be throwing one of these out every six months. Before COVID, this filter was priced anywhere from $29 - $39. Nowadays it fluctuates between $39 - $49. If I can catch it at $39 or less, I usually try to grab as many as I can. As for Amazon Resale, be careful. I have purchased acceptable, very good, and like-new condition. All three conditions came in the original box, but the plastic bag that seals the filter was removed. This isn't good because then there is no way to tell if the filter was used. Someone could have used the filter for some duration, and then wiped off the outer dust layer, and the filter would literally look new, and so there would be no way of knowing if it was used and for how long. In my opinion, Amazon shouldn't be selling these filters if the factory sealed plastic bag around the filter has been opened My advice is to only buy new filters so you can be sure they are fresh, new, and never used. I have 4 Levoit air purifiers in my home. One 400S Three 300S. I like them all andvthey all work well, especially the 300s in the bedrooms and the big 400S in the kitchen/den area. They do a great job with the dust, dander and pollen. The odor elimination could be better, but it helps and eventually gets the odors out. It just takes a while.. I continue to buy the Levoit branded filters because they fit well. They’re high-quality but I do feel like they’re a little bit pricey. Is the original filter straight from Levoit company. Great for allergies. Doesn't last long if you are in a humid environment. Filter Will start to smell humid so make sure you have it nowhere near humidity. Very quiet. Lightweight, perfect size. Read more

Picked up the Levoit 400S a couple of months ago, and I can tell the difference in air quality. My allergies aren’t nearly as bad in the mornings, and the dust in my bedroom has noticeably decreased. The app is a nice bonus, I can check air quality in real time and set schedules without having to touch the unit. It runs quietly on the lower settings, and even on high it’s not obnoxious.
