Very happy with these. As opposed to what another reviewer wrote, these do have CLEAR bases, although Libbey does sell a set with colored bases on here, so maybe there was a mix up either with the order or the shipping? The thumb indents are a nice touch. They do make the glasses slightly awkward to handwash, but quite nice to hold. There are small flaws on the bottom of each glass (A small scar-like ripple, about half an inch. Shear marks, probably) but you wouldn't notice them unless you were looking for them, and considering the low price, I'd say it's not quite worth taking a star off over. Read more

These are nice little old-fashioned glasses. The dimpled walls of the glasses make them easier to hang onto when they are wet with condensation, and they are more visually interesting than a straight wall. They are the right size for good whiskey drinks and have a heavy enough bottom to be relatively tough and stable when the user ceases to be. The only thing I am not a big fan of, and it is minor, is the conical dimple in the bottom. It basically matches the dimples in the wall of the glass and seems to be for looks, but I could see it making life more difficult when I am trying to muddle ingredients and everything is being forced to the outsides of the glass. Again, that is a minor thing, and if all you ever do is drink scotch on the rocks, then it won't ever be an issue for you. I just would have preferred a flat or slightly concave bottom. Read more

They are great. Wish I'd stuck with this design rather than splitting it with another the dimples make holding a sweating glass easier and it holds a generous portion, so they serve two uses; whisky glasses and regular use. Libby never disappoints when it comes to quality. Worth every penny. Read more

We're keeping this glass. We first encountered the dimpled cocktail glass at a steakhouse and really liked the comfortable hold on it. I found a similar glass at Crate and Barrel but if felt so light and cheap. This Libby one has some weight to it. It's not heavy but not light and cheap. I can understand the complaints about having the dimple at the bottom of the glass and when drying whether in the dishwasher or drying rack it would pool water in it. But it's not a deal breaker for us. :) We needed extra cocktail glasses for our gatherings and these are great for it. Read more
