I've had it for a few months and it works as it should. Charges fast, I like that I don't need an extra cable for my phone, but my kid's phone that still uses lightnening can charge there too with added cable. Design is great, I like that it can be adjusted so it fits in my small console. This turned out to be a highly robust and secure car mount for MagSafe wireless equipped iPhones, in my case a rather heavy IPhone 15 pro Max. Attaches securely into your cars ac vents, the phone sticks very securely so you have confidence that the phone won’t jump from the charger even with the most jerky road hazards! I have gone through quite a few car chargers over the course of time. Some lasted a few months, and others a couple of years. Eventually they all fail and must be replaced. It's easy to determine the failure point when the device being charged is no longer receiving a charge. I selected this particular compact car charger with a retractable cord by LISEN. My first impressions were that it is very compact for the type of car charger it is. Any car charger that offers retractable cords will have some bulk in order to store the internal cord with a push/pull type of pulley. I found this model to be just what I was looking for. It also comes with a USB A and USB C port to charge other phones. You must keep in mind that when charging more than one device, charging times will be extended. As you can see in the pictures, I use the retractable car charger to charge my iPad Air 5th Gen, however, I use a "right angled" adapter to keep the cable facing down therefore preventing accidental breakage. If not, the cable will stick out too far out horizontally and cause issues. This is an option on your part depending on your application. Charging times are fast and my iPad stays charged consistently for I am streaming non-stop up to 6 hours at a time. The build quality of this car charger appears to be very good and well designed. A blue light turns on indicating a successful charge. Always be cognizant that this light must remain blue. The cord length is just right and serves my purpose. I like that you can adjust the position of the car charger up or down depending on how you need it. In summary, the part that I feel will eventually go out will be the retractable mechanism that pulls the cord back into the charger. As for now, it's doing a great job, and if I can get 1-2 years of uninterrupted service from this unit, I will be happy. This is definitely a value added purchase that I recommend. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I almost never write product reviews, but I wanted to write one for this because it's just so good. If you're in the market for a car charger, you've probably seen the other options which are way more bulky and have two built-in cables (one USB-C and one Apple Lightning). I was looking for something more slim and I don't have a use for the Lightning cable, and this product from Lisen is perfect! I love that it swivels around, and it feels hefty and very well-made. If you need to charge something other than USB-C in a pinch, you still have another USB-C and USB-A port so you're covered (assuming you have a separate cable). The space under my arm rest is very small, so I needed something extra thin to fit. The fact that it swivels 90 degrees in either direction also helps fit in tight spaces, which was crucial for my use case. One minor drawback is that the built-in retractable cable does not really "click" as you extend it, so it's not always easy to tell exactly how much to pull it out for it to enter "retract mode." I have a couple other chargers with retractable cords, and because those have distinct "clicks" as you pull them out, it's easy to extend the cord out by exactly one more "click" to get it to retract. The flip side to this is that because there is no discernible clicking mechanism, the cord pulls out very smoothly, which is nice.
