Update: I tried installing it upside down. The shape of the vents in this car makes it so the base of this mount was hitting the bottom edge of the vent area and would not allow it to be tightened. But I flipped it over so I hooked the vent from underneath. There is more space above the blade of the vent, so I was able to tighten it and it held my phone perfectly fine during a test drive. *update 2* July 2025. The mount has been working great in my car. Has never fallen off. This item is well made and the magnets on it are very strong. It just does not fit my car. And to be helpful, unlike every review here, I will tell you the make and model of car so you’ll know it won’t work if you have the same. Scion FRS/ Toyota GT86/ Subaru BRZ. The product clips onto the vent ok but it can’t be tightened because the base of the product is too big for the vents in these cars which are small. So it was basically loose and falls right off. Sure would be nice if all the reviewers stating that it works great would say what kind of car they have. Seems like common sense. Read more
The media could not be loaded. I gave this little vent‑clip mount a shake‑down on a weekend road trip, and the first thing that impressed me was the magnet: it snaps an iPhone 16 into place with a satisfying thunk and never let go, even over pothole‑pocked backroads. The steel hook clamp feels more secure than the usual spring‑loaded claws I’ve tried, and installation took less than a minute—loosen the knob, slide the hook behind the vent blade, tighten until snug. Because the arm pushes the phone a few inches away from the louvers, I can still nudge plenty of air around the cabin and easily swivel the screen toward the driver’s seat without blocking the whole vent face. Living with it day‑to‑day, a few quirks surfaced. On rough pavement the phone bounces slightly more than mounts that park it flat against the vent, a trade‑off for that handy extension arm. And while the hook system is rock‑solid on horizontal or vertical slats, it’s a non‑starter for circular vents and anything thicker than about an eighth of an inch—worth double‑checking before you click “Buy Now.” I also discovered that pulling the phone straight off the magnet can yank the vent fin if you’re not gentle; sliding it sideways works much better and spares the plastic blades. Overall, though, this is the first MagSafe holder I’ve kept in place longer than a week. It frees up my cup holder, angles easily for navigation, and looks clean and low‑profile on the dash. At roughly thirteen bucks on sale, it punches well above its price class—just remember to pair it with a MagSafe case (or the included metal ring) if you’re rocking an older or non‑Apple device. Magnet holds phone securely and it attaches well to the vent vanes of my car. It works well. The friction lock that keeps the phone in the exact place and orientation that you set does slip a bit. You may need to loosen and then retighten it occasionally. Read more

Unfortunately, this did not work for my car (2011 Saab 9-3), as the air vent grille has both horizontal and vertical partitions, rendering the spaces too small for the hook to pass through. Provided that it will fit your vehicle's vents, it's a high quality item with strong magnets and ample adjustments for optimal viewing angles. Read more
