low cal, collagen PLUS multi, could serve as meal replacement or dirty fasting
4.5 stars I like it, and it is a repurchase for me. Use a handheld frother for best, effortless mixing. It stands out over other supplement products in that it is Collagen (from grass fed cows) AND a Multi all-in -one. The price reflects this!! While l take many supplements, I fail to take a multi-vitamin. This covers that lack. In addition it contains liver support milk thistle (very important to take care of liver) as well as belly filling glucomannan. The latter is something akin to psyllium husk in that it bulks up when liquid is added to it (I will talk more about this in a minute). The vitamins are methylated (better absorption). Lightly sweetened with organic monk fruit powder. The overall formula is well designed. Thoughtful in covering a lot of aspects. IF YOU DONT NEED/WANT the added vitamins, minerals etc, AND want to save a lot, then go with their flavored (or unflavored) collagen . I haven't tried that, and likely won't as I already have a preferred brand (unflavored) but if I want a flavored option, I wouldn't hesitate to try theirs. For the collagen+multi, I have tried Vanilla, Pumpkin Spice, and this Chocolate. Eventually I will try their Strawberry. None are a strong flavor, but I find them pleasant. Of course that is my opinion, yours may vary. Because they dont add junk, nor do they use artificial flavors, AND they dont use a lot of monk fruit (hate when stuff is over sweetened), the flavors are more subtle. Overall, I dont need my supplements to taste amazing, I just need it to do its job. However, I think this tastes pretty good. And it works too. I appreciate that I can see all the ingredients clearly in this product description. Unfair to cry about added monkfruit when it is clearly listed. No surprises. I tend to use use these supplements with other supplements. So for example, I like to boost the flavonoids from cocoa by using a scoop of CocoaVia Cocoa Flavanols . Really boosts the chocolate flavor too! No matter the flavor I usually add some creatine, colostrum, sometimes a little added collagen from another company . MCT powder, sometimes some butter. If I want to really fill my belly, I add more Glucomannan . This simple, cheap supplement boosts satiety by taking up space in the belly. The powder contains some already, and you may notice that once prepared it may thicken a little. , or if you habent mixed it well enough that there might be some gummy residue at bottom of cup. So when I add even more, I tend to drink this quickly or swirl my cup regularly. Really great way to turn this into what feels like a mini meal. VERY HELPFUL if intermittent fasting, or just looking to lighten up food/calorie load. While it will break a true fast, if you are ok with a "dirty fast" (just liquids, very low cal) then this fits. Also nice way to give gut a break from having to digest food. Or drink this before a meal to help reduce overall hunger. Also works well in baking and making quick desserts. I'm keto, so once in awhile I like to add some to blended cottage cheese to make a creamy dessert. I will then crumble some choczero Speculoos Cookies . Get creative AND get your protein, vitamins, and minerals. This has ABOUT 30 servings. SO to get 30 servings, use a smidge less than a scoop. ALSO, if really wanting most bang for buck, shake the container on occasion to fluff it back up. Why do people cry that a container is less than filled to the top. Seems like it should be common knowledge that by now that containers are filled based on weight not volume. You are buying the volume. Excess space is due to a couple of things--standardization of brand appearance and (containers available for their product) and most importantly, when products are filled (usually powder based products, notice that liquids dont usually suffer same..) there needs to be room for the powder and dust to fill. The fresh filled product likely took up a lot of space, but once settled and compacted, then it will appear to take up a lot less space. Really disturbed by this? Put the cap back on, shake the bottle, get all the air back into the powder, let it "refluff", then open the container and peer in. It filled back up, didn't it? Magical!
