This is my second cork mat. The first was a 24"x72" 5mm thick matt that I have used for the last year and a half plus. It has been a great mat and is the reason I decided to purchase another cork mat. After researching new matts and seeing all the great reviews of this one I made my choice. The Body by Yoga matt is exceeding my expectations. The noticeably thicker and higher quality cork surface is smooth and has excellent grip. I do a lot of hot yoga and the matt can get quite wet. No problem with this matt, the damper it gets the more it grips. The extra thickness is really nice. Most thick matts are spongy and just don't feel stable. This is the exception. The base is firm yet gives extra padding and support in poses on the knees or poses where the ankles take some pressure like frog. No spongy give when in balance poses like tree or warrior III. The extra inches are great as well. I was constantly having to readjust even on my old 72" matt as my feet or head were just at the edge of the matt. This has cured that issue. The rubber backing rolls out flat as advertised. No curling or rolling up when you head into practice. The NEW odor of the matt was gone in about a day so no breathing of synthetic rubber chemicals for days after purchase. Overall this is a great matt. Highly recommended for anyone, especially those who prefer cork and are looking for a new and better matt. The full 1 year warranty when registering is a great comfort. I don't anticipate any durability issues with this matt as my old lower quality cork matt held up for a long time but it's great to know that these people have my back if I have any issues with the matt. At $90 it's not cheap but if it lasts twice a long and is safer, more comfortable and helps to improve your practice how can you argue with paying a bit more? It's a no brainer in my opinion. This is definitely a premium product. It’s oversized, very thick and stable, uses high quality materials, smells good, has amazing grip, alignment lines are useful and cool looking, hygienic, performs well in hot yoga, good for environment, etc. It feels like it’s well worth the price! The only con is the weight. It’s quite heavy. I walk with it 0.4 of a mile with a quality strap. It’s noticeable as a 200 pound man. I wear it crossbody and you get used to it. It’s comparable in weight to a Manduka Pro, possible a little heavier. Weight isn’t an issue at home or if you drive, which covers most people, so I won’t knock it. If you’re on the smaller side or walk with it long distance, be aware. If you’re looking for a yoga mat that excels in all environments, this is it. It’s certainly overkill for most scenarios, but it’s also a mat you can grow into and will last years. My friend also has the same one he uses daily. Read more

I have been looking for the perfect yoga mat for years, and have tried a variety of brands only to be disappointed, until this one. I read the other reviews about how great it was and despite being skeptical (I've read reviews like those before), I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. This is a very solid mat. The material that it's made out of is thick and very dense, which allows it to lay flat immediately, and not require a break-in period to keep the ends from rolling up. It also has just the right amount of cushioning to be comfortable for my knees, but also supportive while I'm balancing. The only other mat that I own that strikes that balance is the Manduka Pro, but the surface of that one is slippery, which leads me to the fact that this mat is made of cork: The texture of the cork is perfect to grip and keep myself from slipping around. I hadn't realized how much energy I was spending to keep my feet and hands from sliding apart during my workouts until I tried this mat and everything just got easier. I was unsure about how functional I would find the alignment markings, but selected the Man Flow Yoga version of the mat. I've been surprised by just how useful they've been, particularly with making sure that I'm turning my feet out at the correct angle, which has improved my practice. Overall, I've been extremely happy with this mat. It's everything that I've been looking for (and more). It's clear that it's a quality product that I will be using for years to come. Read more

This is one of the only mats I could find that was extra long/wide, made with cork, and had alignment lines. I have been using the mat daily for the past couple of weeks and really like using it for my practice. I have heard that people thought the mat had slip issues but if you properly wet the mat beforehand (or are super sweaty like me) it’s not an issue at all. Even though the mat is thicker than most, the thicker layer or cork helps it feel more form and stable while not crushing your hands and knees. The mat is very heavy compared to other mats So just don’t plan on taking this thing on a hike with you or anything. A few knocks I have against the mat a) for the price, I felt that it should have at least come with a cheap strap b) although the thicker cork makes the user experience much nicer, I have noticed that the edges can chip kind of easily if you aren’t careful unrolling the mat (which can be difficult due to the weight of the mat). So i am curious how it will hold up over the long run C) I am not a huge fan of the image in the center of the mat and wish they offered other design options for the full alignment mat. Overall— if you are looking for a good quality, larger cork yoga mat, I don’t think you can go wrong with this product. It also comes with some additional discounts on some of their other products.
