Fit Refrigerator Perfectly
Although it lacked much of any guide, it was eventually able to replace the old refrigerator/freezer water filter correctly. It works! I just had to get past the first few cups of water after installation before all was back to normal. Read more

It won't replace model 9916.
Please note that this product WILL NOT fit Kenmore Elite refrigerators using filter model 9916. The product description states the it is compatible but it is not. One dimension is off by a few thousands of and inch, and it's no go. It should "snap" into place, but it must be forced and never seats properly. Read more

Please read if doesn't fit properly. Great filters every time for me.
First, I have seen many negative reviews about not fitting properly. One negative review shows pics of how the filters "aren't made properly". As you can see in that negative review, they just have the filter upside down. The plastic end cap/cover is easily removable and can be put on upside down. So if you holes seem to not line up easily, then the cover just needs flipped. Also, they have nice O-rings, so once you push it in some, you have to give another extra push for it to "snap" into place. I have used two of these now, and have an extra for backup. Every single one fits perfectly and the filtration seems to be the same as the OEM. I live a small village that has had severe water issues, mainly not being able to filter out the chlorine properly, and this filter makes a very noticeable difference. Read more
