First, this is not the first "smart" device that I have owned. I have at least 20 other smart plugs, bulbs, and appliances connected to my home network. Most of the others took less than 5 minutes each to setup. This one doesn't even come with any instructions. It doesn't tell you how to put it into pairing mode, it doesn't tell you what the status lights mean, nothing. When the page says "package contents: switch" that is literally all that it came with. A small box containing the useless smart switch. I spent 20+ minutes trying to get this thing to work with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, and Google Nest and it failed to pair with any of them. You have to have a iPhone 16 or newer version and or a threaded router to get any connectivity . So please read item description good, otherwise it will not connect and or Function. I believe that the sale of a product depends on a customer's trust of that company. The seller should have honest transparency in their Amazon advertisements. Full disclosure, I am unable to use this device. I was not aware that "Matter Over Thread" meant that it would not work on an existing Matter setup. You absolutely must have some sort of Thread hub. Thread is the communication method. Matter is the communication type. This does not appear to use WiFi like my other Matter devices, nor does it use Zigbee. The device itself feels solid and well built. It takes up slightly more room than an outlet, so if you have an expansion strip it will block some of those ports. There is no way to rotate it. I don't think I can recommend this simply because it doesn't seem like the required hardware is that ubiquitous. If you're absolutely sure that you have a Thread border router, then this will probably work fine. Read more

I was excited to use this smart plug as it is first time owning smart plug. Howevr, it does not work unless you have Thread Border Router as it keeps on giving error message without it. If you have that set up then this would be the one for you if not then it is no purpose getting it. Read more
