I moved on top of a Chinese restaurant. I was not happy with the cooking oil smells that my room smelled like. I really did not know what to do to eliminate it. I read online that one of these humidifiers do. I gave this one a try holding no hope because it was cheap compare to others. I specifically ordered air purifier this for my bedroom because my kitty sleeps with me. Of course, this adds allargens to the room for me to breathe in while sleeping. This small air purifier does a fantastic job keeping the air clean. Being able to add my organic therapeutic-grade essential oils to the tray is a big plus. I just put several drops into the tray 1/2 hour before going to bed and the aroma permeates the air along with adding additional purification properties. I like using lavender because it's calming and relaxing, which works well for getting a good night's sleep. I have noticed that I sleep better overall than before using this in my bedroom. I've also noticed that kitty is calmer at night too. Yay! The unit itself is perfect size for the 13X10 bedroom. I have it sitting on my dresser and it doesn't take up much space at all. It's quite portable, so can also be moved to another room easily. I set it to the lowest noise level at night and it doesn't keep me awake. I also own a larger version like this that sits on the floor of my office to capture dust, cat dander/fur, and other airborne particles. It too does a great job. I have discovered that air purifiers like these in the home can also help prolong the life of furnace filters. This is another big plus to having them. I prefer the round air purifiers as they are easy to place around the home vs. the larger clunkier ones, and the filters are easy to change out. The listing states that Maxcio will release the replacement filters in August of this year. So I'll keep an eye out for them to see what they cost. But as of now, I am completely happy with this air purifier and highly recommend it. Read more

This thing is really cool. It comes with a remote control that sticks to the top of the unit with a magnet. This isn't really meant for bigger rooms - however, my husband keeps this right next to his side of the bed. The sound it makes is enough for him to fall asleep (it's great white noise) and the air filtering is also helpful for our allergies. Read more

Very impressed by this air purifier, super easy install other than it's a little confusing to figure out that the wire and other components are storied inside the purifier itself, but you'll eventually figure it out because otherwise you won't be able to plug it in an turn it on. There's plenty of mode options to choose from and the fan sounds very nice and soothing. I like the essential oil tray a lot, put some of my own stuff in there and it made the room smell great. The only thing with that is it seems to all evaporate or run out of effectiveness pretty quickly. All materials feel high quality. Read more

I'm currently being slammed with allergens and this air purifier has been a godsend, sitting next to me at my desk. Setting up is easy, I especially loved how they packed the machine with the accoutrements stored within the device. There are three light settings - nothing, minimal, and then an internal light. The lowest fan level is a nice level, it creates a nice white noise ambiance. It is not as quiet as some devices but it is low enough. The filter will need to be changed in a year (if not sooner) and those will be easy to change out. I've been running the machine for 24-hours and everything is still going smooth. Recommend! Read more
