Purchased this drive to replace the original drive in my PS4 gen 1 that finally died after years of service. Liked the idea of doubling my storage and speeding up PS4. Installation was easy, reinstalled software and games, everything seemed good to go. 2 months in something ain't right. Having serious load time issues for games specifically online multiplayer. Taking way to long to the point where some games are almost unplayable. Ghost Recon Breakpoint has serious map loading issues, cut scene lag, and forget co-op I just hold people back. Thought maybe that's a robust game that PS4 can't handle well so reinstalled BF4 and the load times for multiplayer are ridiculous, never taken that long, over 5 minutes. And yes I have a robust internet connection. You'll have a hard time convincing me it's not the new hard drive because the only thing that has changed. Disappointed as Amazon Choice recommended and claims of speeding up PS4....it slowed it down. Disappointed. Your results may vary from mine. UPDATE: Finally had enough. Jan 2021 I purchased a SAMSUNG 870 QVO SATA III 2.5" SSD 1TB (MZ-77Q1T0B). Installed this solid state drive and the old PS4 runs like a champ, faster than the original by far.
