I searched for this item for a long time and THOUGHT it was identical to the one I had used and loved for years before I lost it in a house fire. I cooked pasta, vegetables, even a whole chicken once in the old one, with nary a bit of damage. It handled the dishwasher like a champ. When this one arrived I immediately realized it was smaller, but I could live with that. What I won't accept is that after one run through the dishwasher (top rack, no heat), it came out warped so badly that I almost couldn't get the lid back on. (And there's still a gap.) The amount of force needed makes me certain that at some point soon, the locking handle will break. Overall, unacceptable at any price. Read more

Both snaps to hold the lid on broke off within 2 weeks. It’s still usable without them but only if you put a plate underneath it before you put it in the microwave. If you forget the plate it makes a big bubbly mess and you have to clean the whole microwave. Poorly made but gets the job done with the plate. Read more
