I haved a corded Miele canister vac for weekly heavy cleaning and needed something to tame the pet hair in-between cleanings. Miele didn't disappoint with this versatile cordless powerhouse. I've seen too many cheap stick vacuums curbside on the neighborhood trash day to waste my money. Miele is not the cheapest on the market, but it may be the best overall. Well built, sturdy and straight forward operation. The battery charge won't give you power to deep clean the whole house, but it's not meant to. This is a more hygienic option to sweeping or dusting the floor. Super for cleaning stairs or upholstery too. Very happy addition to my cleaning arsenal. Read more

I was looking for another Miele vacuum for our floors since we gave our daughter our 'corded' version from years ago which still works really well. I thought 'cordless' would be really good since the we had to plug/unplug a lot with the amount of hard floors we have. It is solidly built, but functionality is not. I was not thrilled with the 'bagless' to start since we have pets and some allergies, but Miele does not offer a 'cordless with a bag' vacuum after some searching. I thought that since it was Miele that they might of figured out a good way for a 'bagless contraption' to work without getting dust all over when you dump it. WRONG.. dust does get out and it gets messy. They promote this as a pet vacuum with HEPA filter, but that does not matter when you dump it and it gets out... BTW, battery is also not large enough if you have a lot of floors. I hate to complain about a product, but at this price and for this brand it is a huge disappointment so beware and look at your options.. If you don't have a lot of floors or allergies or pets it will work good for sure. Read more

The worst vacuum I’ve ever owned. The battery doesn’t keep its charge for more than a short time and the bagless design is difficult to manage without creating spreading dust and allergens. Read more

I’m genuinely thrilled with this Miele. The first thing that hit me was how quiet it is—shockingly quiet for a stick vac. It automatically senses when it’s on carpet vs. hardwood, shuts the brush off on hard floors, and seems to boost suction when the brushes are off. At least that’s what it sounds like, and it works flawlessly. The dust bin takes a minute to understand; it’s a little counterintuitive at first. Spend a few minutes with the owner’s manual, and it’ll make sense. Cleaning performance is excellent. I stayed in ECO mode the whole time, and it pulled debris effortlessly. The fit and finish feel high-end, precisely what you’d expect at this price. I vacuumed our entire main floor—about 600 square feet, six area rugs, and hardwood floors in between—and the battery never ran out. When I checked afterward, it still showed full charge (three bars on the built-in battery indicator). That’s a massive upgrade from our older stick vac, which would noticeably sag as the battery drained. Overall, extremely happy so far. Read more

Powerful vacuum is trade off for battery life - it doesn't last very long, even on low setting. Difficult to empty dust bin. Different configuration options don't make sense and are unnecessary, imo. Read more

We were looking for a small vacuum primarily for use in our travel trailer and the occasional 5 to 10 minute touch up in the house. Previously we had one of the Dyson handhelds, it's been a while so I don't have the specific model. This vacuum has amazing suction and power. We have four small dogs and it sucks up dog hair like nobody's business. I love the primary attachment auto detects if it's on carpet or a hard surface. The battery does have a problem. It drains, even when not in use, often leaving you with a dead vacuum. There is a fix, if you take the battery out when you are not using it the issue goes away. Or you can set up the holder/charger so that when your done it keeps it fully charged for when you need it. I cannot speak to it's longevity per use. Most of the vacuuming we've done has only been for around 10 minutes, which its done comfortably. It's done a number of sessions before needing to be recharged. Read more

Have only had the unit for 1 month and have not experienced any issues. Was on the fence with this unit and Dyson Gen V. Purchased the Dyson due to a sale and to verify if the Dyson would work on our Mohawk carpet…it did not. The thick pile has been the determining factor with regards to floor maintenance. We have other Miele appliances and have been very pleased with reliability, build quality and ease of maintenance. The Triflex HX2 hits on all points and is very easy to clean and maintain. Read more

The design, attachments, suction are all great. I am disappointed however with battery run time - definitely isn't 60 mins; more like 10 mins. I also have my unit charging every day and can't even clean the full couch plus the dog bed without it needing a new charge (especially if I use the small motorized attachment). I have a Miele canister ($1600) and have had other high end vacuums from kirby, rainbow and filter queen. The past three dyson stick vacs I have owned put this high priced miele stick to shame below the back in the day "dust buster." I also am not a fan of how to clean/dump the dirt as it is dusty and you have to clean/wipe the unit down after each dump due to dust + I find the automatic power adjustment to be annoying & inconsistent. Again, I think the product design + product name + suction are great . The real opportunity is with the battery run time and dust bin and for the price I paid, I should have stuck with dyson.
