I upgraded from a r3 so I’d definitely suggest this if you’re coming from a r3 but I wouldn’t suggest the r5 if you came from a r3. Shifting doesn’t always register.

Using with the esx wheel. Bought this as an upgrade from the R3. I didn’t change anything other than from the R3 to the R9 and have issues where it doesn’t register a shift. I updated firmware to the latest and no improvements. It works fine 98% of the time but it’s a little bit frustrating. Read some comments online and it sounds like it’s a known issue with the R9.
