Great little espresso machine This Nespresso Pixie has been a great addition to my kitchen. It heats up very quickly and makes consistent espresso every time. The coffee comes out rich and smooth, and it’s perfect for daily use when you want something fast but still good quality. The machine is compact and doesn’t take up much counter space, but it feels solid and well built. The water tank is easy to remove and refill, and cleanup is simple. I have owned this machine since June 2023 and I absolutely love it. It is compact, taking up minimal space on the counter. The quality of the product is excellent. Rarely, the volume of water is off but 99% of the time, this machine is consistent with volume and taste. I've had no burnt coffee issues. I would buy this again. Read more

When I say I researched for an entire year before buying an espresso machine - AND looked often and continually disappointed by other machines and reviews. This gem was recommended to me and as soon as I saw it in the store I had to have it. It’s sturdy! The build is incredible. Heavy in the right places (the front bar is just sexy!) and the titan model is heavier metal on the sides. It works so fast and efficiently. The espresso just smelled incredible. I knew I didn’t want a complicated machine (who has the time??) that I’d have to learn- no thanks. This was easy set up! The frother is AMAZING. Why did I not buy one of these before?? It slightly heats as it foams YUM! I even frothed coconut creamer with syrup and it was creamy and amazing (had worried reading other reviews that it was impossible to froth anything other than actual milk but I find it does well with almond milk too) I’m so glad I finally pulled the trigger and purchased this. It does deliver decent coffee, so it gets 4 stars. But it is certainly a relic in a modern kitchen, and the initial make quality is surprisingly low for a piece that comes with a "Made in Switzerland" label. The wire storage at the bottom literally cuts the insulation when adjusting the length as the opening is too small and has no common rubber protection piece. The empty capsule receiver also has a dangerously sharp edge inside. The biggest issue is the absence of any visible clue whether the capsule in the machine is fresh or not, so when making coffee, you have to focus and execute the sequence attentively. Otherwise, you either forget to replace the capsule between pouring subsequent cups or discard a good capsule when interrupted by a phone call while waiting for the machine to warm up. The whole idea of the warm-up being a separate step is also very outdated. Why not just press the button and have the machine warm up if it needs to and then immediately pour? The startup manual that comes with the machine is outright confusing - watch a video, save yourself time, and avoid frustration. Another issue - you have to run it with no capsule often to keep the output clean. Not to mention that the size of the produced cup varies quite noticeably for no apparent reason other than likely an archaic measuring technology. Unfortunately, this is a situation when I have to adjust to this relic and keep using it till the coffee maker industry comes up with something more modern for a reasonable price. After experiencing the taste of fine expresso made by this machine at hotel stops over the years, I finally decided to purchase one. One problem I encountered was navigating the seemingly endless varieties of coffee/expresso models produced by Nespresso on Amazon's website. Since I have a commercial-grade Keurig coffee machine, I opted for this little machine because the quality of its expresso far exceeds that of other coffee machines, and I felt it was fairly priced. Note that this machine is an expresso maker and not a coffee machine. However, my preference is the Lungo setting, which is about double or more the size of an expresso. As with Keurig, there many varieties of coffee pods for this machine, which you can purchase from Amazon or on Nespresso's web site. Expect to pay from $.80 to $1.00 for each pod, but for me the quality of the coffee is worth it. I've only owned this machine for about a month and have no issues with it.
