Easy to use and sharpens my Global knives well. We bought a set of the Global knives way back on a solid deal and it came with the ceramic honing rod. That worked OK but I think it is harder to use correctly. This sharpening tool is much easier as you just add the water to the line, set on the table and then sharpen on one, then the other. I did notice the springs holding the sharpening stone wheels is pretty strong, so it would be good to carefully run the knife through them as you might slip and that could lead to possible injury or damaging the knife. However, even with that said, I think this is much more straightforward way to sharpen our knives. Read more

I had return this new version and I bought the older version. Newer version had flat bottom so I bought it but the top lid won’t close tight. Two stones inside shifted every time we tried to sharpen it due to the lid. Maybe this was the bad product but when you get it make sure to check the lid will click!! And close. Read more
