I love this mat because finally my chair rolls over a mat and doesn't get stuck. This is nice because it's convenient and I don't need to spend time cursing at the stupid mat for getting stuck under the chair. It is nice and smooth and lays perfectly flat which is wonderful. Why 4 stars and not 5? I really wanted to give it 5 stars but I had to drop a star since the mat is not anti-slip on my wood floor. It slides. I had to position under a cabinet to it stays put and even then it still tends to move a little bit. Overall this is a great mat and a great value! Update: 12/18/20 Customer service with the company is amazing! They really care about their customers. We discussed my concerns about the mat not truly being anti-slip and I was told it is something they are working on. Also they recommended I purchase tape to help keep the mat in place. The tape helps the anti slip issue and they reimbursed me for the tape. Overall wonderful product and even more wonderful company. Changing from 4 stars to 5! Thank you! Read more
Most of the week I tend to work from home so I need to be comfortable. This hasn’t shown any signs of wear at all and is protecting my hardwood floors underneath it. It isn’t bulky or small, it is just the right size which is nice because you don’t need to have a work area just to have this in your home. Switching to a standing desk is pretty easy especially with the anti-fatigue part. you just need to bend down and pull the mat from under the desk and put it back in when you want to sit again. This has definitely made my joints more comfortable at the end of the day. I gotta say it has made my workday a lot better. Read more
This is a very well made mat. The material is sturdy and lies flat within hours of unrolling it. Plus, its the best looking mat I've seen, if you don't mind black. (For me the black covered too much of our beautiful hardwood floors.) The cushion part is almost as soft as some of the standing mats I tried - not quite as much, but good enough for standing on. At the time of purchase, it was the only mat that combined a mat with built-in foot cushion, so that seemed like a great idea. The problem I had with this mat was that the cushion part would make rolling my chair close to my desk difficult - I had to use quite a bit of force to roll up over the cushion. While I could have moved the mat further under my desk, that would have defeated the purpose of having the cushion for when I stand. After trying different mats, I ultimately went with a clear polycarbonate mat (AmazonBasics) and a separate standing mat (Mount-It! Antifatigue floor mat) that I could move out of the way if I needed to get my chair close to my desk. Read more
I purchased this because it looked to be good quality, and had the cushioning for the feet. It does seem to be good quality, and durable. So why 3 stars? It works best with legged chairs, not wheeled chairs. The cushioned area is, naturally, raised up from the thin floor cover. When the wheels on a wheeled chair hit that raised area, they stop. I was not able to get close enough to my desk to sit comfortably, nor could I get my chair under the desk. I tried this mat on three different desks, with multiple people, and the only one it worked on was a small table with a legged chair. It fit up under the table fine, and the legged chair doesn't bump into the raised area. In the end, I ended up using a more "traditional" floor mat for the other desks. One other item I noticed was that light-colored dirt shows up on the black mat more than the clear mats. Read more
I bought this because my desk is on carpet over concrete. The concrete cold and hard and I found myself tucking my feet up under the chair. After a while my legs would start to hurt. The floor pad took the place of the piece of plastic and the padded foot rest made all the difference in the world. I don't tuck my feet under the chair anymore my legs don't hurt and I can get more work done. 5 stars for this product. It seems durable and sturdy, only had it a couple of weeks. Read more
This mat is perfect for transitioning from sitting to standing while working. It’s not slippery but the chair rolls easily. Pull out a bit to stand on the cushioned end to allow for stand up work position. It’s comfortable and helps deter back and foot pain. There was an offer inside for a leather desk pad. What a great surprise. It arrived quickly and was a nice topper to protect my wood desk. That chair mat is a must on my hardwood floors and is doing a great job at protecting. It’s easy to clean, too. Any small debris dusts right off and I mopped it with the same solution as the floor. Came out great. Highly recommend. Read more
The hardwood floor in my home office is very slippery and annoyed me most of the times, so I was searching and searching, trying to find a chair mat to provide traction. If I were making the purchase again, I'd pick this mat one more time. It was packaged carefully in a nice box and shipped rolled up, but within hours was lying flat. So far - about 2 months, it seems very sturdy. No signs of wear and tear from my desk chair wheels and, most important, it holds tight and it doesn’t slip at all! Proportions seem wrong. I have this under my desk. The problem with it is when I have it positioned so my feet are on it when I'm standing its great. But, when I lower my desk to sitting position and drag my chair in then my chairs wheels have to go over the thick portion for standing. So, if you buy this then you can position it for standing but understand your chair isn't rolling on the thin flat surface when you're sitting. You'd almost need a desk which moves backwards as it raised for this to work properly. Read more
