My mother lives in an old brown stone building in the city and during the colder months, the landlord does not turn up the heat that much. So, I have been on the lookout for a portable radiator that she can use and move from room to room as needed. I stumbled across this particular one that popped up in my feed and felt this would make a nice addition to her apartment. The radiator itself is very easy to use which is great for her case. First off, it is very compact measuring less than a foot in width. So this does not take up much space at all in her apartment when she needs to store it away. Secondly, there are two easy to use knobs on the front of the radiator for the heat output and the amount. Both simple to use. What I really like about the unit is the tip over safety protection. Being that my mother is getting old, she does not walk the best anymore. So having the ability of a shutoff in case of an accident is essential in her case. Also, the wheels on the bottom of it rotate three hundred sixty degrees, making it easy for her to move from room to room. This radiator is very nice! It feels solid and extremely durable. The radiator takes a bit of time to warm up, but that also means that even when the unit is off it's still radiating heat. The packaging was also packed very well, keeping the unit unscathed even when it's quite heavy. Speaking of heavy, there are casters that helps with movement, though you will need to manually install them. The heat itself feels very nice. Unlike other heaters there is none of that metallic or electric scent associated with this heater which I greatly appreciate. And on max setting this thing gets HOT! You definitely do not want babies or little toddlers around this thing. Because it can get so hot, you also don't want it too close to the wall. If you must have it close to the wall you'll want to at least place some foil on the wall to hopefully reflect some of that radiant heat back. Overall this is a solid radiator style heater.
