They are amazing knives. They’re good for the price and for the quality you get. They’ve stayed nice, sharp and consistent and feel durable. I’ve had these knives for about a year now and I’ve just recently noticed they paint had started to chip. Not to deter from the shape need itself but I have yet to use the sharpener on the block. I bought this to upgrade my "old" wooden block with steak knives and huge knives. It lookes like a small set ,however, it's really all that you would need. The knives are sharp, and the scissors also. Looks alot more modern in my kitchen. I really wanted something without the steak knives because I already have a sharp set of those, and never used the ones on my old wood block set. Searched quite a bit on Amazon and glad I decided on this set. Also, you can put other knives in the slots on the top, it just doesn't show that on the pictures.
