I ordered this supplement, knowing how important and crucial is D3 vitamin for our health. I’m happy this supplement has a very good dose of vitamin D3 (5000 IU), that’s exactly what most doctors recommend. I’m a health nut, and enjoy learning more about vitamins, supplements, and methods of taking them to prevent disease. I know vitamin D3 is extremely important, it’s in the top three vitamins you should take basically daily, UNLESS you get plenty of sun exposure on daily basis. Most of us do not get enough sun exposure, besides summer months, due to working mostly indoors. It is really good that this supplement has also K2 vitamin in it, to compliment D3. It is necessary to take vitamin D3 with K2, because this helps with the correct distribution of calcium in your body. Research shows that if you don’t take vitamin K2 with the D3, calcium might be deposited in your arteries or around your heart and not go to the organs that need it. I just turned 42 and am beginning to realize the importance of taking care of my health as I get older. Especially when it comes to staying mobile with bone health and heart health. First off, I am happy this is made in the USA as I am skeptical putting anything into my body that comes from other countries personally. I live in Seattle where we do not much vitamin D during the fall and winter months so I am glad this will help meet those recommended requirements. I just began taking this a couple weeks ago so I cannot speak for it's effectiveness quite yet but will be sure to update this review if and when that time comes. I do not like having to reup my supply of supplements every month which is why I was pleased that this comes with 120 tablets so I good to go for several months. The capsule size is average and easy to swallow. I also appreciate how the jar is wide and does not topple over like many of my supplement containers do when handling them. I’ve only been using this Opti + Life MD D3/K2 supplement for a little over a week, so it’s still too early to tell any real results.
