Great for smoothies and such. HOWEVER...the pitcher / jar is NOT shatterproof as they claim. Breaks easily and now hard to find a replacement for it. But...the blender worked great before the jar tipped over and broke into lots of pieces. The blender was not too expensive but you do get what you pay for. :-) Read more

This classic is simple but a bit under powered

This blender has the good name of Oster, but it is a little under powered. It makes a good shake starting with 8 oz of milk and protein powder. Then add frozen fruit until above the liquid line then pulse it. Then low, medium, or high works to finish it up. Making 2 shakes at a time probably would not work. I probably should have spent the extra $20 or $30 to get a blender with more power. Update 11/09/2021: After about 6 months of nearly daily use, the jar started jumping out of the drive and stripping the socket connected to the blades. I expected more use out of a major brand name blender. I ordered the higher powered (1200 watts) Oster blender. I am using it now. Read more
