Why did you pick this product vs others?: Wow! No wonder this blender is still being made. It is amazing! I had a Kitchen Aid that cost me two and a half times more and this does a better job. I love the three power levels and that is all you need! It's a workhouse and it is worth every penny. It is funny it is the one I grew up with over 60 years ago! I love that it is a glass blender with a metal blade. The blender jar is a good size, but smaller than my Kitchen Aid. No biggie I can do two batches for extra large recipes, but for the most part capacity is enough for most jobs. Read more

If you want to get away from plastic , this is a great option. I much prefer it to my Vitamix as I can make smaller batches for sauce and smoothie. I use it a lot more. I bought this fruit juicer blender as a gift for my girlfriend, and she absolutely loves it. The design is convenient, and the motor is powerful enough for everyday use. However, when it arrived, I noticed there was a small missing corner on the bottom pad. It’s not a huge issue for functionality, but it was disappointing to see on a brand-new product. I hope the seller can improve the packaging or quality check before shipping. This is my second Oster blender, repurposed the first one for a rental property. This one looks cool and works fine, does what I need it to do, which is blend smoothies and bean soup, etc. I wondered about having only 3 speeds, but when you think about it, how many speeds do you really need? Low, medium and high work just fine for me. As for the noise a lot of reviews mention, jeez - doesn't seem all that loud to me. Louder than my older one? Not sure. If you're blending while someone is snoozing on the couch in the next room, you'll probably wake 'em. Not loud enough to scare my cats off their food bowls, but that probably would require dynamite. And yes, I do get a little whiff of burn when I use it. Like the motor is burning off some manufacturing detritus or whatever. I haven't used it a whole lot yet, but suspect it may go away after a bit. I like and prefer the substantial glass pitcher and it's easy to pull the blade and clean or run everything through the dishwasher. No leak issues whatsoever. I needed a replacement for the Oster blender I inherited. After 60+ years of perfection the old machine was whining. I researched, and found Oster made a blender that looked similar. (See photo) The new one works like a charm, no learning curve involved. Quieter than the old one, very happy with its performance. I was skeptical when I first bought this blender. I was worried about it only having three speeds. I am used to a whole bunch of speeds that I don't use. I have purchased oyster blenders now for the last 20 years. I would love one of those fancy high speed blenders but they're all made of plastic. Not very many good options for someone who wants glass pitchers. Anyway I was right in the process of making peanut butter when my old blender broke. So when I started using this blender for the very first time it was with the peanut butter. I started having my doubts (although it did blend with some force of me pushing one side of nuts down). I have had no problem whatsoever when I have made my smoothies. I'm not sure what's going on with other reviewers blenders? that they complained about it.
