After owning a few badger brushes I thought it was time to add a boar brush to my collection. This Parker Boar Brush arrived and I have been very happy with it. It’s hard to tell from the pictures here on Amazon but the handle is actually Blue with Purple swirls. The brush performs well and whips a lather rather quickly. It does take a while getting used to the firmness as opposed to badger hair. However, if you’re in the market for a decent boar hair brush this one is a great value. Read more

Very good shaving brush for one's head and face. There was no smell at all from the bristles when new - I did however clean the brush by soaking it overnight in a bowl of soapy water and then rinsing it out the next day and letting it dry completely. The boar bristles produce a lot of thick lather when used with a hard soap in a shaving scuttle - I have used this primarily to shave my head - the reason being the boar bristles exfoliate my scalp and leave it silky smooth when done. The handle is very attractive and large - making it easy to hold when applying lather to the back of one's head. I can see this brush being the one to go to for shaving any body part, scalp or face, depending on your preferences. Read more

Only 3 stars due to I'm getting bristles coming out right from the start. Otherwise it's good. ----Update for this review. They have offered to replace it with the same item since I'm still getting some bristles falling out. Not quite willing to give up on a good stiff boar bristle just YET. Possibly buying a Parker badger bristle instead. Since they are so willing to stand behind their product, I'm changing the overall rating to 5 stars. It's always the best when you have the seller support behind you.--- Read more

Nice brush handle, love the beautiful, pearl-like blue color, as well. The bristles seem to be somewhere between too soft and too stiff, which works out well for my particular skin when applying shaving soap to my face. Some of the bristles came out while using it, however, the first couple of times I used it, but that is pretty normal for most shaving brushes, in my experience. After a few uses, this should subside. This shave brush also came with a countertop stand/holder. Another bonus that I was happy to discover. I really like this product and cannot recommend it enough. Read more

This is typical Parker brand, decent nice as advertised products. It is a true badger hair brush, not synthetic, but this was actually the issue I had with it. Currently was using a synthetic brush for years, it's not the softest but it worked well too get a quick foam and had some exfoliating when using it. This brush is not synthetic, so it's very soft. This softness causes the foaming to take a very long time, and needs even more soap to get to it. I'm addition there's really no exfoliation either because it's so soft. So if you like a real bager brush, this is a decent cheap one. The handle is just plastic, and the stand is very cheap, but the bristles are long and thick Read more
