- Pentair Pentek CW Series Cartridges are manufactured from a durable polypropylene cord that is wound around a rigid polypropylene core. They are an economical solution to reduce fine sediment, including sand, silt, rust and scale particles. CW Series Cartridges are very economical and wound in a standard pattern around the core. They are available in 10, 30 and 50 micron ratings. These string-wound cartridges are capable of withstanding temperatures up to 165°F (73.9°C), and will accommodate flow rates between 7 and 10 GPM with minimal pressure drop. CW Series Cartridges are suitable for a wide variety of sediment filtration applications, including municipal and well water, as well as many industrial fluids. Works good, gets rid of alot of sediment. Read more
Great for a first stage filter
I have well water in a high acidity, high clay area, so my total dissolved solids is pretty much off the chart. I installed a series of three filters, using this as the first stage, followed by a 5 micron membrane filter and a charcoal filter. My water has never been cleaner or tasted better. Read more
Well Water Filter
We have a well and we use these to filter the water we use in the house. It is nice we order enough for the entire year and can replace them monthly with out having to run to the store and buy them. Read more

Not sure how much to say, it is a simple and functional item that certainly does its job very well. Read more
Does not deteriorate like the paper filters
Does not deteriorate like the paper filters, stands up to the pressure from the deep well pump. (This filter is installed before the water tank.) Though one of these does cost more than two of the paper filters, I feel it is worth it in the long run. I do not have to replace the filter elements as often. Read more
