The Perixx PERIMICE-719RX is a capable ergonomic mouse for smaller hands. It was easy to get used to using this versus a standard mouse. The size and design work well in my hand. The material has rubberized type feel for an easy grip. It feels well built. The buttons are quiet. I found that it tracks well a and has several DPI adjustments to fit your needs whether you are browsing the web or gaming. I have gone several days of normal use at a time without recharging it. My previous mouse would 'sleep' after 10 minutes of inactivity and require a mouse click to wake up again. This one seems to be always on, so if it sleeps it must wake up with any movement and is not noticeable. It does have an on/off switch in case you need to store it for a while or just to help extend the battery life when not in use. The USB-A 2.4ghz RF dongle works perfectly fine and has plenty of range since you aren't likely to be more that a few feet away from it. With laptops losing USB ports with every new generation it would have been nice to have a Bluetooth connection available. Of course buying a USB hub can help also. Charging can be done directly to the mouse via USB-C or wirelessly from the included base. Charging directly is faster, but the base may be convenient for some. There are several light patterns available but OFF does not appear to be an option. Charging on the base requires it to be positioned just right. There is a small LED by the scroll wheel that will light up when charging so you can tell when it is in place. There is also a version of this mouse without the charging base, so you can save a few dollars if you would rather charge directly or use a base you already own. Read more

Chunky Wireless Mouse with optional magnetic charging pad. This mouse has two unique features, it is shaped in a less traditionally chunky/vertical style, and it is wireless. SHAPE & GRIP STYLE The mouse has a chunky, vertical shape that will affect your grip style. With my previous mouse, I moved the mouse with one finger on the left side, and two fingers on the right side, only touching the top of the mouse while actively clicking. This mouse's vertical stance coaxes you to rest your entire palm on the top of the mouse. Coax is the correct term, because I could still easily use my old grip style undisturbed, but you kind of want to rest your full palm on top of the mouse. This is not a dealbreaker for me, although I am still trying to figure out if I like the chunky or not. A MOUSE WITH NO TAIL (WIRELESS MOUSE) 1) Before first use, the mouse needs to be charged. And the mouse's internal rechargeable battery will need to be periodically recharged via its USB-C Charging Port (See Picture 3). A Black USB-A to USB-C is included for charging the mouse battery; while any USB-A-to-C cable can be used, the USB-C Charging Port (See Picture 3) is smaller because of the mouse's chunky shape, so only a 'small' USB-C can be plugged into this mouse's charging port. The instructions refer to the mouse having magnetic charging capability, but no mouse pad was provided, maybe it has to be purchased additionally. The instructions give a 10-day battery use time for this mouse; I have had wireless mice before, and those would need to be plugged in maybe once a week. The mouse goes to sleep after 30 minutes of no movement. 2) To use the mouse, first plug in the USB Receiver plug, then turn on the mouse on using the switch on the bottom of the mouse (see picture 0). The mouse needs a wireless connection to your PC. This is done via a USB-A Receiver Plug that plugs into any USB-A port on your PC (in the center of Picture 1). On the bottom of the mouse, a small bay allows for storing the USB-A Receiver when it is not being used (See Picture 0). This is a nice touch, although the USB-A receiver will probably be plugged into your PC most of the time. SUMMARY Nice wireless mouse product that has a non-traditional vertical shape. It takes some getting used to, and will ultimately determine if this is a great mouse, or a not so great mouse. Read more
