Philips One by Sonicare Rechargeable Toothbrush Shadow Black HY1200 06

I finally got what I wanted the SECOND time I ordered the item. The good. It is compact, lightweight, has long battery life as promised and since I got the USB-C unit I can now use the same cable to charge my phone, tablet and toothbrush if necessary (probably not so much given the long battery life and that I do not travel for that long at a time). The case is arguably too small, but it seems to do the job. Not sure how it will stand up to jostling in my backpack or carry on, but I will soon find out. It cleans well and the timer system keeps you from under- or over-brushing. Is it as good as my more expensive and bulky original Sonicare? Probably not. It certainly does not have the many modes and strengths for brushing. But, it is simple, does the job, and for travel seems quite ideal. The bad. But you must be VERY CAREFUL when ordering. The same product page actually links to multiple versions of this toothbrush and they can be radically different. Some apparently use standard replaceable batteries (!) and some of those with rechargeable batteries use idiosyncratic unique cables instead of the now standard USB-C (even a mini-USB would be acceptable I think since I carry that to charge my backup batteries). So pay very close attention if you make any change from what first appears on the screen. I made the mistake of wanting it in white instead of black and ended up with a completely different model with a unique charging cable. I was able to return it for a full refund, but it was annoying that I had to do that. So, purchaser beware! Read more

I’m an aircrew member and spend 15 days a month traveling. When I’m home I love the ability to use my larger Sonicare electric toothbrush. I tried traveling with it but it is larger and took up more room in my already limited luggage space. I needed a smaller option. I’ve tried 5 other travel electric tooth brushes over the last few years and they have all fell short in terms of battery life, brush head quality and most importantly vibration. This little toothbrush is great! It meets all the above for me. The battery has been going for over a month. I love that it’s internal charge vs battery. The brush head is great quality and on par with my expensive at home Sonicare toothbrush. The most important part is that the vibration is the best I’ve seen in travel size. Most barely do the job for giving you the feeling and doing the extra scrubbing. This one gives you the extra clean feeling that no other manual or cheap travel brush can. I’m not saying it’s a replacement for my at-home larger Sonicare, but it’s a much needed substitute for the days I’m traveling. I consider this a must-buy and no brainer that I’d absolutely buy it again! Read more

This toothbrush has been great! I've only charged it twice in the four months that I've had it. I love that I can bring an electric toothbrush when traveling, and it is so easy to travel with because it holds it charge for so long and because it comes in a compact case. It just vibrates, so not as robust of a clean as some of the bigger brushes that oscillates, but its a great entry level electric toothbrush or great for traveling. Convenient for travel. Good size. Charge lasts decent amount of time. Able to leave larger rechargeable toothbrush (which uses recharging stand) at home. This one is probably half the diameter in the handle. It also has convenient signal for doing each of the four quadrants of your mouth- it briefly pauses, letting you know to move to next one.
